My mind danced on the edge of consciousness as warmth enveloped my neck, a sensation both comforting and tantalizing. I let out a soft sigh, relishing the intimacy of the moment, before a voice sliced through the dreamy haze.

"Lorelai," came the whispered murmur, accompanied by gentle kisses on my skin, "get on your knees for me."

My eyes snapped open, heart pounding in confusion, only to find Amir's mischievous grin hovering above me. I blinked, the remnants of sleep clinging to my senses, struggling to reconcile the dreamy scenario with the reality before me. Was this some sort of inception-level mind game?

"Huh?" I mumbled, trying to shake off the grogginess.

"I said, do you want a sandwich?" Amir's voice was casual, a hint of amusement dancing in his eyes as he raised an eyebrow at me.

A wave of relief washed over me as I realized the innocent nature of his question. "Oh, um, sure, why not?" I replied, cheeks flushing with embarrassment at my earlier confusion. With a nod, Amir strolled out of the room, leaving me to collect my scattered thoughts.

The events of last night flickered through my mind like scenes from a movie. A spontaneous decision to relive the carefree days of our youth had led Jaden, Sasha, Amir, and me to Amir's sprawling house for an impromptu sleepover. Laughter had echoed through the halls as we indulged in childish antics and nostalgic reminiscences, temporarily escaping the weight of adult responsibilities.

As I rummaged through Amir's closet in search of something to wear, my fingers brushed against a soft shirt, infused with Amir's familiar scent. Memories flooded my mind, accompanied by a bittersweet ache I couldn't quite name. But before I could dwell on the complexities of my emotions, the door burst open, shattering the quiet moment.

"Good morning, babyyy!" Jaden's voice boomed with infectious energy as he barged into the room, his enthusiasm contagious. I couldn't help but laugh at his exuberance, the sound mingling with the sunlight streaming through the window.

"Good morning, J!" I greeted him with a wide smile, feeling the weight of my worries momentarily lifted by his presence.

He crossed the room in long strides, enveloping me in a bear hug that threatened to squeeze the air from my lungs. "How'd you sleep, beautiful?" he asked, his voice a warm caress against my ear.

"Like a baby," I replied, enjoying the feel of his arms around me. "Your friend here was trying to give me a heart attack, though," I added, shooting a playful glare in Amir's direction.

Amir feigned innocence, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips. "Who, me?" he protested, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

I rolled my eyes, swatting playfully at his arm. "You know exactly what you did," I teased, laughter bubbling up from deep within my chest.
