Alora pov

I hurried to my room and closed the room

I put my plate in the table and sat on my bed

Why does all the worst things happen to me?

Being stuck with my step parents until 18, which I don't know clearly because

I'll only last for few months if things go this way.

Second the encounter with the uhm scary guy, calm guy and dumb guy.

And third which is on the way

having Nora to take care of me and Ellie in the absence of the parents

I was too tensed overthinking that I forgot about the food.

I took the plate and went downstairs and suddenly caught me.

BANG

I hid behind the wall that separates the kitchen and living room.

"why cant you do something right for once?".

Dad looked angry at....

Ellie?

"dad I don't wanna be with him, please you got to understand." her cheeks were red and she looked puffed up.

"listen here you brat, you're living under a roof because of us. Are you really going to disappoint your parents like that good for nothing?"

Is she talking about me?

Ellie was quiet. She opened her mouth to speak something but then closed it.

"ok..."

"finally" with that dad wiped his hands with a towel and left outside to god knows where.

Mom gave her a dirty look and took the plates from the table.

I hurried to the kitchen and washed my plate like I didn't hear anything.

"wash these too" She put the plates in the sink and went away.

I stared at the plate and continued washing.

I felt someone's presence behind me.

I turned around and saw Ellie

I think she freshened up

"can I take a glass?" she said rather in a soft voice.

I left the plates and took a cup from the stands.

"here" I handed it out to her

She took it and took water for herself

As I continued washing, I heard her say.

"you were listening..right?'

I put the plates back in the stand and looked at her.

"yeah i-"

I didn't know what to tell. It was my first time seeing Ellie getting scolded.

She sighed. "you wont understand".

She drank the glass of water and placed the cup in the table.

She wiped her mouth and turned to me.

"what should we do about Nora?"

Her question brought me back to reality and..

I actually don't know

"I don't know what to do. I didn't know it would turn out like this.."

I was deep in thought when suddenly I got an idea out of nowhere

"how about lets spy on her?"

Ellie looked at me with her mouth dangling open

"Are out out of your mind??"

 Heyo everyone, I was on break for like a WHOLE month mainly cause of exams. And my ideas for this story is running out. I wont be adding anything new except for characters. I've took a decision that to finish this story before October which means ill update frequently. Since this is my first story there IS a lot of mistakes and I want to improve all of them.
