Y/n POV

"I don't wanna go to work!" You whined out as you packed your swim bag, from the corner of the room your dog sleepily yawned and gave a soft huff at your outburst.

"Sorry Odie," The small dog gave another yawn and you softly shook your head and continued to pack your duffle bag.

Bathing suit, check. Snack, check. Wallet, check. Extra clothes, check. Lanyard, check. Towel, and spare towel check check. I've got evrrything, you nodded to yourself and zipped up the duffle bag and turned to Odie as you began walking out of your room.

"I'll be home later Odie, don't get into anything." You slung the duffle bag over your shoulder and Odie gave a small lazy, Woof, and you couldn't help but shake your head and smile as you left your room.

You hoped he really wouldn't get into anything or make a mess, but you never know and it was pretty much routine for you to say, you hummed and made your through the hallway past the kitchen and living room, and towards your front door.

You slipped your keys from the hook on the wall and pulled open your apartment door,
"Protect the house Odie!" You called out as you stepped out into the hallway and pulled the door closed.

With a quick turn of the keys, you locked the door and hummed as you made your way to the elevators to head down to the first floor.

You slung your duffle bag over your shoulder and stepped back, pulling the trunk of your car closed.

With a click of your keys, your car and trunk were locked and you turned to start walking towards the large Gym building.

"Hey, Y/n!" You had only gotten a few feet away from your car when you heard a familiar voice call out to you, you turned and smiled when you saw Howdy waving and jogging to catch up with you.

"Howdy!" You threw your arms open and let out a flurry of laughs when Howdy put his hands on your waist, lifted you into the air and spun you around a few times,
"I haven't seen you around!" Howdy gently set you back down and you tucked away some hair that had come loose.

"Where ya been?" You turned and began walking towards the entrance of the gym, Howdy following,
"Training, Just got certified for training and recruiting new life guards for the gym, I'm actually gonna be meeting a newbie today." You nodded at his words and pulled open the gym door, No wonder,it's been at least a month, you thought to yourself.

You pulled open the Gym's glass door and stepped through, Howdy came in just behind you and the two of you waved,
"Hey Rachel," You smiled as Rachel waved back, her bracelets tinking together,
"Hey Miguel, seen my newbie yet?" Howdy asked, he was closest to the front desk and you hadn't seen Miguel, but he popped up from the counter with a now empty box.

"Howdy, He's in the staff changing rooms with the Boss Man." Miguel gave you a wave and you returned it, feeling your cheeks flush,
"Thanks Mig," Howdy thanked him and the two of you were off again, heading for the staff changing rooms.

"A new hire, kinda exiting, isn't it? You get to put your new skills to the test!" You gently pushed him as you finished, you couldn't help but suddenly feel nervous, "They aren't. . .thinking of hiring another swim instructor, are they?" This time Howdy pushed you and he rolled his eyes and you smiled.
