after returning to seoul during the maniac tour, misa and the rest of stray kids were swarmed by fans at the airport. their security was seriously lacking this day, and fans were able to reach through the slight barrier and touch the members. when they got to their car, a fan reached through and grabbed misa by the arm. misa, feeling alarmed, whipped her head around and pulled her arm back with some force. this caused the fan to stumble and almost fall over. misa didn't see this, however, because she was quickly ushered into the car after the interaction.

the general public had mixed feelings about this. most stays knew that misa would never intentionally push someone over, and it was very likely that she had no choice but to use some force since the fans grip was probably strong. a lot of antis tried to claim that you could see misa give the fan a nasty look, but she was wearing a mask, so there's really no way to tell. there was never a statement released, and misa didn't really feel bad about what she did. she, the members, and the company knew she didn't have any ill intentions.

stray kids were at the airport on their way to japan for their dome tour, and fans were once again swarming them. security was really on top of their shit this day and were pushing fans aside to make room for the group to walk. while misa was walking through the crowd, a fan tried to ran up to her, but security quickly pushed her away, which caused her to fall to the floor. misa saw this out of her peripheral vision and couldn't help but quietly laugh. she didn't mean it in a mean way, but people falling is funny to her.

the clip of the incident quickly went viral, but most of the public didn't see anything wrong with what she did. on twitter, there were a lot of tweets that said things along the lines of "i would've laughed too" and "the fan had it coming tbh." misa felt bad for laughing, but she couldn't help but agree with the tweets. luckily, this blew over quickly, but it's still sometimes brought up by stays in a joking way.

one again, at the airport, misa was photographed holding a copy of margaret atwood's the handmaid's tale. this is a very popular feminist book about a society that controls women's reproductive freedom. stays didn't see a problem with this; misa is a known feminist, and the book is a extremely popular. on the other hand, a lot of the public thought it was inappropriate for her to be carrying that book around openly.

the worst part of this scandal came from the public male opinion. many men felt offended by her reading this book and tried to start a petition to get her removed from the group. misa's male fans were so upset with her that they posted videos of them destroying her photo cards and crossing her out on posters. it got so bad that misa was forced to release a statement apologizing and claiming that she'll be more careful about what books she has in public. everyone was upset with this situation, but chan and renjun were the most infuriated. they both thought the way she was being treated was absolutely ridiculous, and they tried to reassure her whenever they could. this situation left a mark on misa, and now she rarely talks about what books she's been reading with stays. the staff is also very careful about this, and they blur the cover of whatever book she's reading if it's visible in the background of a video.

this one was a surprise to misa and haechan, seeing as they both thought everyone knew that their "feud" was a joke. this scandal really took off when they posted a video to the nct tiktok account where they danced to ay-yo and were playfully pushing each other. stays didn't see anything wrong with it, but there were a fair amount of nctzens in the comments ridiculing misa for pushing haechan. this deeply confused both of them since haechan was also pushing misa; why were they only going after her? it even got to the point where nctzens were saying they were "sick of the way she treats haechan," even though the "bullying" wasn't one sided.

haechan felt horrible for this, but misa didn't let it get to her, and she assured haechan that she didn't care. she thought the whole situation was funny, and they shouldn't have to change their dynamic so they can cater to some random people on the internet. they still act like this when they film videos together, and even though some people get upset, they don't care.
