~ September 2018, Isabel's POV ~

Cat got my tounge. At this moment I have every right and reason to believe that I don't get along with anyone. In this sheer hallway of my new Middle School, I only seem to be on the outside of the greatest inside joke. Infact, I probably am the joke of the laughing matter. I'd probably chuckle too if a pathetic looking 12 year old girl like me tripped and fell right down the stairs.

I was on my way to my 1st period: History I believe and technically homeroom is held right after. I clenched on to my schedule real tight due to nerves to the point in which all it was a crumbled piece of paper that I can remember all too well in the back of my mind.

All the other kids seemed to sport nike sweatshirts and expensive looking jeans. Me, on the other hand, wore the cheapest pair of converse bought at Ross and an aqua blue hoodie I've had since the 5th grade. I hate all my clothes, I don't think my skin fits right over my bones. What made me stand out from the rest was surely my Taylor Swift buttons displayed on my backpack, I can already feel people staring at me. I hope no one here is Anti-Taylor...

I stepped inside the classroom a few seconds after the warning bell rang. Oh great, I'm late on my very first day. I must look like a tardy idiot that I always am. It's really nothing new for me but it must look awfully bad to everyone else.

The teacher, Ms. Smith asked for me to introduce myself to the class. I fidgeted with the sleeves of my sweater and stood there silently, mentally panicking on the inside. I akwardly cleared my throat and bashfully waved to a room full of tweens who glared back with a look of disapproval. Or at least most of them looked bored out of their minds. A familiar face slightly smiled at the sight of me. I don't know his name yet but I know he's my next door neighbor who gives me Harry Styles vibes. His friend sitting right next to him also looked very welcoming and eager to meet me. He was the guy I dubbed " The Weeknd " fan!

" So uh, hey there you guys! " I enthusiastically started off clasping the both of my hands. " So my name is Isabel and I've lived in Silver Lake all my life but was homeschooled, so I'm fairly new to a public school setting like this one. I've never done this yet, it may be obvious. "

" So isabel, won't you tell us a bit about yourself? " Ms. Smith insisted.

" Well, I don't really know what to say except that I love music a lot and Taylor Swift is my favorite singer since I was 6. I have all her albums on cd and personally reputation is my favorite one. "

" Booo, Taylor Swift sucks! " Some guy shouted from the back row. I can't really tell who, but I can tell that he is an asshole.

" Oh shut up James, Taylor Swift slays and we all know that you shake it off to her songs cause of your sister is a swiftie. " 'Harry' broadly spoke up in the defense of both me and Taylor.

James looked extremely pissed off at the selfless boy and snapped. " Um, none of those statements are true, so you shut the fuck up Goldwyn. "

Ms. Smith shooted James a deadly and disappointed glare, writing up a blue slip she had stored in the back of her cardigan." James, no swearing! Instant detention for you, I'll be seeing you for Lunch. "

Ms. Smith directing me towards my new seat which just happened to be right next to this 'Goldwyn' guy. I presume that's most likely his last name. Firstly, he's so dreamy and loves Taylor Swift? Where has he been all my life? I mean, I know that I'm only 12 and perhaps sound melodramatic by saying that, but I really can't help but to feel like this is where I belong- right next to him, and he belongs with me! Pun wholly intended.
