"Because You are Mine "

His deep rumbling voice echoed in her brain. Taiga felt something overflow her heart and pooling between her legs. How could he be so... Straight forward? Maybe it was her nativity that robbed her from a rational reaction. Yet, for once, she didn't care.

"You can't tell people stuff like that." She whispered still looking at his forever angry mask.
The Yautja. No, she knew his name now. Kaail, tilted his head to the other side. Taiga found the motion weirdly cute. Here he was, a more-than-whatever feet tall feared hunter, cocking his head like a curious pup.

"I am not telling people stuff." She heard her own voice between the mix off his record's. " I am telling you."

"But..." She found herself stepping away from him a little. She needed to breath. To think. " You don't even know me. How can you tell that I belong to you, when you know nothing about me?"

Taiga heard when he exhaled loudly. She also didn't fail to catch the noise of his mandibles snapping. " I know more than enough."

"You only know where I work and where I live. That's not enough reason to claim someone." She crossed her arms.

Observing her for a brief moment, he scratched his jaw with one hand. "I recognize your kindness, your unwavering commitment to ensuring others' satisfaction. Your agility, especially the stunt you pulled last night, is undeniably impressive," his words echoed amidst a chorus of many voices merging together. As he uttered, "I know you are untouched," she visibly paled, yet he continued, unfazed, "- And I am very aware of your desire for me, Ooman." He awaited as she open and closed her mouth for a few beats. " Are those enough or do you need more?"

"H-h-how can you...." She was chocked. " How can you know all this?"

"I am a Hunter." Even with his recordings answering her, his posture had changed, emanating an intimidating aura. "An Elite from the almighty Setg'-in Luar-ke Clan. Hunt is my life and you are my prey."

Dumbfounded, it was Taiga's turn to cock her head to the side. " Prey?" She gave one step behind unsure of what to do.

" Yes. Prey." He answered. " Not kill. Not for trophy." He clarified. " To mate. For life."

Taiga exhaled, releasing the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. His words sank in slowly — he was a Yautja, and he desired her. For heaven's sake, he had just declared ownership over her. While her heart screamed a thousand yeses, her brain quivered with fear. How could she simply accept whatever he was offering? She studied him for a moment, memories of his touch and purring flooding her mind. A few hours of sleep had been more restful than she could recall, his mere presence drawing her to safety. He was willing to kill for her, to fight for her, but he remained a complete stranger. Someone she had seen only a handful of times and had a slight crush on. She knew nothing about him or his kind.

Taking a moment to assess herself, she realized she was still clad in last night's clothes, one foot donned a sock while the other was bare. Glancing past him towards where she hid her treasures, she pondered the certainty she once held of leaving this planet alone in a couple of weeks. Kaail's presence had altered everything.

"I'm feeling confused right now," she found her voice and decided to face him, head held high. "I don't know how to answer. I'm not a Hunter. I don't belong to any clan." She recovered her stance, assuming a more resolute posture. "I am human through and through, and I'm scared of the unknown," she took a deep breath. "But, I would like to get to know you, Kaail."

The Hunter, still crouching down clicked his mandibles behind his mask. " How do I make you know me?"

Taiga blushed... " We could go out.. A-and talk..." She fidget with her hands behind her back. " Like a.. D-date" she whispered.

"Talk..." He used her own voice..."Will you lie to me in those talks, Ooman?"

She giggled remembering the first time they interacted. " I promise not to lie to during our dates." She held her right hand up.

He nodded. "When?"

"Tomorrow. I don't work on Sundays." She had a thousand butterfly's in her belly.

He nodded. " I will come for you when the sun goes down then." And with that, he stood up and made his way to her window.  She didn't had time to say anything else. He just vanished.

Taiga was left alone in her small attic. Heart drumming inside her chest, mind dizzy and felling like she was floating above the clouds. "What the actual hell just happened?" She questioned out loud. The shiny glint off her mirror caught her attention and she almost fall back on her ass.

She forgot to part ways with her makeup before hitting the hay, so now she resembled a panda who had stumbled out of a wild night. Her hair was caught in a hilarious tug-of-war – half wild and loose, the other half barely hanging on for dear life at the top of her head, creating a comical frizzy concoction. The cold fingers of dread tickled her when she discovered unexpected drool marks on her chin, sealing the deal for a truly unforgettable morning look. She face-palmed herself. " Of course I would ask a fucking Yautja out, on a motherfucking date looking like this!" She laughed miserably.
