Enough is enough

Fatima's POV
After he was done with me,he tried to hug me,I gave him a dull look which made him turn to the side.

I bled that night,it was so painful and forced.I stopped sobbing, realising that my crying wouldn't help me,I had to accept my faith.

I stood in the shower for so long,I scrubbed hard, wanting to wash off his scent.He came in.I became alarmed,he noticed and left.

After showering I came to the room.He was present.he had no expression.

Jalil: I know I was pretty rough on you,but if you accepted it,I would have showered your body with love,not bruises.I promise to be much more gentle next time.

Fatima: I want a divorce.(he froze,with that I walked off into the closet room.

Jalil's POV
I shouldn't have showed signs of weakness, now she has the upper hand, no I would never let her divorce me.

I hated this version of Fatima,I know I had created this monster,I would do mush worse than take her by force.

If I had to tie her by the bed,I would.She soon came out.I was not going to go easy on her.I grabbed her by the shoulders.

Jalil: now you listen to me,I am not going to give you a divorce.
Fatima:you don't have to,I am taking you to court.
Jalil:no imam will allow it.
Fatima: they will when I provide them proof of you raping me.

(I let her go,as I tensed up)
Fatima:am going to look for a job soon, but first am going to get that divorce,so be prepared.

Fatima's POV
I took my purse and walked off.I went out looking for a job,I needed to get back on my feet again, and work.I also needed to distract myself.

I came back home,I didn't find a job.I decided to go online, after hours of searching,I found two applications for the maid job.One had more money.

I needed more money to move out,I couldn't go to my parents, they would desert me.I clicked the application.I was supposed to meet them soon.

Days passed and finally jalil and I were in the court.
Imam:you are not supposed to be reluctant with your husband.
Fatima:well that doesn't give him the right to rape me.

Imam:it isn't rape,you accepted it.
Fatima: right because I have a duty as his wife, but he took advantage of that,I can no longer continue with this marraige.

Imam: divorce is not done in a haste,he did you wrong so he will compensate you.
Fatima:fine,he can compensate me by giving me a divorce.
Imam: that's too extreme.Your husband tells me that you have changed since he got a second wife, it's normal for women to be like this,but it's nothing counseling can't fix.

Fatima: counselling won't bring back my sanity.fine don't Grant the divorce,I have gone through tests from the doctors.They have proof that I was indeed raped and have found jalils dna on me.Am sending it to the police.

(The imam and jalil looked shocked,I got up to leave.

Jalil:wait(I finally smiled and turned)I divorce you.
