Zay-"mama what are u doing"
She turned around with one cookie in her mouth and the other in her hand he chuckled she giggled
Zay-"why didn't u ask baby"
Zara-"u were on da phone"
Zay-"what did we say"
She smiled
Zay-"I'd u need me u can call me I'll be running for u darling"
He sung to her and kissed on her cheek she giggled he smiled and sat up
Zay-"one more I'll give u some milk"
Zara-"yay!"
He chuckled and got her some milk
Skip time
Zay-"so today we need to do a whole lotta shopping right"
Zara-"yeah!"
Zay-"what first"
Zara-"uummmm!...da mall"
Zay-"and why the mall"
He said giving her her other sock as she pulled up the other
Zara-"because if the ice cream..."
Zay-"baby?"
Zara-"daddy did mommy ever give u a time for our ice cream date"
His heart dropped
Zay-"I'm sorry princess no...she didn't"
He bit his cheek thinking about her blocked number and swallowed hard holding back his anger and words
Zay-"but u got daddy and daddy is the best"
She smiled hard and giggled making him smile she put her shoes on he tied them then they got her bag and got in the car and she buckled her seatbelt
Zay-"good job"
He got in and started the car and gave her his phone she played music they got to the mall and got out
Zara-"daddy"
Zay-"yes baby girl"
He squatted to her
Zara-"is mommy going to come back"
Zay-*sigh um...promise me u won't be upset because if u get upset I'm going to get upset and u saw what happens when daddy gets upset"
She nodded
Zay-"promise"
Zara-"I promise"
He slowly shook his head
Zay-"no she's not but that is to protect u"
He saw her lip slowly coming out meaning she was ready to cry she pulled and squeezed her finger trying to hold it
Zay-"don't hold it"
Zara-*says lowly but I don't want u to get upset
Zay-"I'm upset because I let her in your life only to break your heart mama I'll never be upset at u"
Her tears started to fall
Zay-"there u go that is perfectly fine it's normal baby crying makes u stronger and because your expressing that now your already better in the future"
She sniffled he picked her up and held her tight then sat in his seat and comforted her rubbing her back and wiping her tears
Zay-"u can ask me questions if u want"
