KAIA WATCHED MARIANA and Taylor wrap their arms around Tyler, helping him back to his room alongside the two nurses leaving them. Kaia chewed at her lip, watching as they pushed past the doors towards where Tyler's room led and felt her stomach churn unpleasantly. Something about letting him back there didn't feel right, not when he wasn't coming home with them later tonight.
"Halfwit." Aiden mumbled as his arm was still wrapped securely around Kaia's waist, holding her up despite her having gained back her strength to stand on her own once again.
Kaia went to say something, but her phone buzzed in her pocket and she reached down, pulling it out, answering it, already knowing who it was as Kaia only allowed the notifications of the group and her mom through and Ashlyn was the only one not there with them. "You okay Ash?" She answered without letting the ginger even speak.
Ashlyn frowned from the other line, hearing the slight pain lacing her tone as she spoke. "I'm fine, I just felt something off and wanted to make sure you guys were okay, that you were okay."
Kaia's lips perked up a bit at her words, "yeah, we're all fine. Something happened with Tyler, but we'll tell you about that when we meet up again later."
Ashlyn blinked from the other side of the line, gripping her phone tighter as her breath hitched, "is he okay?"
"Yeah... well for the most part at least." Kaia reassures her as she sees Aiden leaning in curiously to hear their conversation and rolls her eyes as she moves the phone so it's between the two of them, turning it up so Aiden can hear whatever Ashlyn says. "He's in rough shape, but he's awake and he's fine besides that."
