Chilling heat, sun over head
Bustling streets with commotion spread
Here we espy hues of popsicles on pathways
Melons, lemons, mangoes and lychee lay array
Migratory birds are sight to sour eyes
A radiant glow amidst clear sky
Honking vehicles loud and clear
Glistening sweat over bodies all smeared
Tranquility seems out of sight
Wind ablaze everywhere it stride
Impelled to seek solace from heat stroke
people marched in shadows of edifice blocks
