I am a tree of shallow roots
easily carried away by stormsWith a woodpecker constantly kissing my skin, peeling each layer to get to my heart.
And with each layer pulverized away,
I can hear the tapping louder and louder
And by the time i could no longer bear the noise, it bares my core in the harsh wind, light and small, it was held between its beak with loose jaws. Im afraid that any minute it would fly back where it came from, carrying the thing that keeps me sane.
So i prayed that the woodpecker would make me his home. That it need not to look at other trees of any kind. But I am a tree of shallow roots
Easily carried away by stormsIm a little ashamed that i have invited it to my branches, embracing it and giving it warmth when any minute, a storm could pass. Because by the moment i wake up, without realizing the night storm, i am not where I'm supposed to be. Any day, i could wake up on the other side of the stream. And the woodpecker would no longer be on my branches but on the branches of a tree with deep roots.
