why are we all hung up
on this emotion called love
it's the release of chemicals
like all other emotions

why are we all hung up on these fantasies
of finding the perfect one
because in reality they never last
everything is made to end

so why are we all infatuated
with this lie called love
because I see through it
and honestly, it ain't worth it
