The doomsday clock was made by scientists in 1947 and is there to tell us when there might be nuclear war or climate change. These possibles reasons for the end of humanity are represented on the clock as midnight. The clock has been ticking closer to it ever since 1991. It is currently two and a half minutes away from midnight.
