Headaches are the absolute worst.
I hate them and I get headaches very often, which is frustrating. But recently, I was talking to some of my friends and apparently a lot of people get headaches just as much as me.
How to prevent headaches:
- drink water (this might be obvious, but dehydration DOES cause headaches, speaking from experience)
- don't wear tight hairstyles (ex. tight ponytails, braids, etc)
- exercise
- sleep regularly
- cut back on caffeine
Symptoms of a headache or migraine:
- sensitivity to light and sound
- mood changes
- vomiting
- head pain
- eye pain
Ways to treat headaches/migraines:
- take pain killers (ibuprofen, Advil)
- drink tea (green tea is the best type)
- apply an ice pack to the back of your neck (it reduces inflammation)
- apply an ice pack on your forehead (sometimes this helps me)
- massage your temples
- manage your emotions (ex. stress, anger)
- take a nap
