Chapter 28

Jadwa

"Omg Mus'ain"

"You're really here?" I pinched him a little bit to clear my doubt

"Yup" he said opening his arms

"Its year end and a best friends wedding so i said why don't i come breath a different air" he added

"and besides I know it wont be boring"

"Welcome to Nigeria then" i said just the way he said to me when i went to London

"When did you come?" I asked

"Midnight, decided to sleep here since its closer to the airport" he replied

"Going back to my house later" he added and for some reason the idea of him leaving made me sad

"wanna take a tour in Abuja? I bet I still know lots of places" he asked

"Mr tour guide i have plenty things to do, besides I haven't even made breakfast yet"

"We're back to boring Jadwa" he said sitting lazily on the dining

"Would you like some breakfast?" I asked and he smiled instantly and said "pancakes"

"Coming right up" i said and went to the kitchen immediately

Few minutes later i came out with the plate of pancakes and dropped it in front of Mus'ain,

"Tea or coffee?" I asked and his reply was "milk"

So i went and got the cold milk for him and was pouring it when I sneezed

"Bless you" Mus'ain said collecting the milk from me,

Sultan didn't come down for breakfast till around 11am,

"Good morning" I greeted and as i asked what he wanted and I served him,

I don't know why he was moody but i was too sick to ask,

I've been trying so hard to hide the high fever i was having but I couldn't because immediately i served them lunch and was about to leave, Mus'ain got up and followed me immediately,

"Jadwa are you okay?" He asked and i faked a smile and nodded but my nose betrayed me because immediately I turned to leave I sneezed and started coughing,

"C'mon Jadwa get some rest you're sick"

"But I haven't finished my work" i nagged but he held my hand and took me back to my room

"Lay here let me get you some drugs" he said and hurried and left

My throat was burning and my head was pounding, i was so uncomfortable that I couldn't even move when i laid down

Minutes later Mus'ain came back with some drugs and water and gave me, I tried and swallowed them and within 30minutes I slept off,

I didn't know for how long I slept so immediately I woke up I managed to pray and leave the room,

"JD" Mus'ain called immediately i came out

"Hope you're feeling better now?" He asked sounding so concerned so i said yes,

I tried taking cereals but ended up vomiting everything,

Immediately I finished vomiting Mus'ain came in

"JD i have to go back to my house are you sure you're okay? Should i stay?"

"Musmus I'm fine I'll see you tomorrow?" I replied in a very quiet voice
