As many of you know, the first 3 episodes of season 3 was an adaptation from a light novel. There's a translated version on Wattpad by DarkestJay8686, you can read it if you are interested.

The anime changed some of the plots but I really liked it still.

I mean, I'll never complain about the hand-holding part *cough*

Um, anyway, there was stuff that wasn't included in the anime but was in the novel. For example, Dazai made the decorations in the welcome party room and actually planned to make Chuuya fall into a trap he made on the floor.

O_O umm Dazai? Is it just me or does that sound oddly sadistic

Wait if Dazai made the decorations... I need an explanation. Is that a ballon of his head?! And what's with the heart? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

*Awkwardly* Ok moving on! Also, Dazai never loses his cool even at the age of 15... but he immediately becomes a moody teenager when he's with Chuuya. (Even if you don't ship this) you'll have to admit that Chuuya was someone special to Dazai, someone who he would show his true self to.

I don't think many people would have noticed this, but when they both played in the arcade, their characters were actually Tanizaki Junichirou and Naomi. Dazai as Naomi and Chuuya as Tanizaki.

*sigh* Well, ya'all knows what the siblings are like... Look at their names and the love-love umbrella with their names on the wall. Fact: Love-love umbrella is a Japanese culture where you can draw an umbrella and write names to express love, similar to carving names onto a tree in the US. Now you get why they picked Tanizaki siblings?

Also, the anime did not include the scene where Dazai patted Chuuya on the head:

"Don't pat my head!"

Chuuya kicked away Dazai's hand that tried to pat his head teasingly.
