Ch.6 - Acceptance

The chirping of birds was the only back ground noise, if you don't include the sound of a flowing creek. Senshi was sat on a rock, in the middle of her favourite forest. The trees towering high, the canopy creating a comfortable shade over her.  She would normally be doing something productive, yet as of the past few hours, that was the last thing she felt compelled to do.

To be fair, finding out who your soulmate is - the person who you will be spending the rest of your life with- in the most inconvenient situation, is going to make a person think. It was only the second day of UA, soon to be the third, meaning she hadn't got a great observation of all her classmates; yet she knew the basics of their personalities. Bakugo's was loud and brash, and had a superiority complex.

From the outside.

Senshi knew first hand how he felt on the inside, and honestly, all of those features that another person could easily pick out, weren't true. Yes he was loud, but only to cover up for what he truly was. Truly, Bakugo was a kind person, but due to being what Senshi could only assume as pampered as a child, has grown to feel the need for constant supremacy. Bakugo constantly needs everyone to know he's the best, because if someone tells you the same thing over and over, you begin to not believe in what they're saying.

And that's Bakugo's problem.

Senshi was a quiet person, growing up and becoming a smart, athletic girl. On the outside. In reality, Senshi was genuinely fearful of things that her parents had ruined for her, such as love. Because, as much as she was relieved to know who her soulmate was, she only further scared that her version of love would become like that of her parents.

She didn't mean to disrespect Bakugo for thinking this, but what only pushed her to worry more was the personality Bakugo had. Yes, Senshi knew the truth, but wouldn't be how he treated her. Until Bakugo chose not to, he would treat her as he had anyone else, his façade being the personality people believe to be the 'real' him.

After the two had stared at each other, Senshi began to walk off; the encounter beginning to get awkward. She didn't know for certain, as her emotions were mixed with his, yet she could tell they both had the same reaction,

panic.

And both were still stunned to this very moment. They were polar opposites, in every which way. Yet they do say opposites attract, so that left the two with some hope. As All Might carried on with his review of Bakugo, Senshi, Uraraka and Midoriya's battle, the two weren't paying attention. Senshi did get MVP of the exercise, yet she wasn't excited.

Bakugo was feeling the same confusion of emotions. He had just lost to his childhood rival, and not minutes later found out who his soulmate was; cut the man some slack! And while he was still infuriated at Deku, he simply couldn't bring himself to be more mad than he was before.

He returned home that day in a daze of emotions, being partly angry from the results of the battle, yet confused and unsure due to his fateful but short conversation with his newfound soulmate. His parents caught on rather quickly to his slight change in personality, and his mother began to question him.

"You're acting weird, what happened at school?" It wasn't a kind tone, but it wasn't mean; it was rather imperative, his mother wanting to know what had gone down.

"None of your business." Bakugo mumbled, eating more of his curry.

"I should think that it is our business, especially since you're our son." His mother pushed further, it was only angering the boy however.

"If you really don't want to tell us that's fine Katsuki, but we just want to make sure you're happy." His father stepped in, even if the man was quiet, he was respectful.
