The next morning, you woke up early and just sipped on a bit of lemon rooibos tea—a super refreshing blend your mom imported from South Africa. Your grandmother had sent a whole box of different flavors, and both you and your mom absolutely adore it.
You took a moment to unwind in the living room while tying the laces on your Adidas sneakers. It was time for your daily walk, and you looked sharp in your workout gear.

You wrinkled your nose at the odd mask. "No, it's alright. What's that? Where'd you get that baby poo?" You looked amused at her. Your mom adores trying out all these new DIY home remedies she finds on YouTube, even though they hardly ever work.
At first, she gave you a stink eye, then adopted a smug smirk while rubbing some on her chin. "Oh, honey, it's a new turmeric and lemon juice mask. Good for acne, stretch marks, and blackheads."
"But you don't have any of those issues," you said, confused. Your mom shrugged, unfazed by your skeptical gaze.
"Yeah, well, not all of us can be born as beautiful as you," she exclaimed loudly, then strutted into the kitchen. You just shook your head.
"You and dad gave me the best of both worlds," you chuckled, placing your cup in the sink and rinsing it before your mom blew a fuse.
