Christian's POV
I woke up next morning to see a dozen missed calls from George and I felt strange so I immediately called him back
"Hello boss"
"Hello George, anything important?"
"Very important sir, as you asked me to keep an eye on Kai- Daniel just updated me that Ms. Hayley was seen going to his place. He spent 3 hours keeping an eye on his house, almost midnight but still there was no sign of her coming out."
"You sure?"
"Absolutely sir"
That was enough for me. I stormed off to his house; if he wants to bring this to her then lets decide because I'm not backing down without a fight

I reached Kai's house in no time and rang the bell
Kai himself opened the door and instantly masked an innocent face; he knows why I'm here - as*hole.
"Where is she?"
"Umm I don't know, isn't she your wife?"
How tf did he know that??
"Where is she" I asked again losing my patience and my voice a little higher
Before he could answer I saw her coming out from the kitchen looking worried, she probably didn't see me and turned around but I called her name
She froze at the spot and so did i
Hayley's POV
"Christian?"
His name was making my heart beat faster and I could feel his intense gaze burning my back but I was too shocked to turn around.
My palms were sweaty and my throat was dry so I just stood there hoping to wake up from nightmare I was now in.
Someone put a hand on my shoulder and I gathered the guts to turn around and see Kai standing with a firm expression but I wasn't looking at him, behind him was Christian with an angry expression and clenched fists
"If you want, I can back you up just say yes"
"That's okay, you've done enough I can handle him" I whispered to Kai and made my way towards Christian
"Christian" I could see his gaze turn soft and he cupped my cheek with his hands
He let out a sigh and I could see his tense shoulders relaxing a little
"How did you know?"
"you are my wife Hayley, even if you hate me I can never stop caring about you"
I felt my body weakening at his words I don't know what feeling this is but I call it nervousness
"Now?"
"Do you want to stay?"
I was actually taken aback by his words. Was he really giving me a choice to stay and not force me like he always did?
"I-"before I could answer my phone rang (thankfully) pulling me out of this
conversation.
"Mom?"
I furrowed my eyebrows and answered the phone
"Hayley can you come home now?" her voice sounded serious and the thought of dad being at her place crossed my mind.
I looked at kai who after a second understood everything
"I will meet you in the car" he grabbed his car keys and walked outside
"Okay" I ended the call and turned to look at Christian
"Let's go" I grabbed his hand and walked but he pulled me to his chest.
"What? Where?"
Oh right, he doesn't know anything
"Can I tell you everything in the car?"
"I am not going anywhere with him"
"Please?" I tried my best to make an innocent face and it worked
"Fine"
He intertwined his fingers with mine and we walked outside the door
He sat in the passenger seat and I sat in the back
Kai was driving as I told Christian everything except the part where I woke up in Kai's arms
Christian looked fine but hatred was flashing through his eyes
Kai was being strangely quiet during the drive so I glanced at him.
His face was emotionless and his grip around the steering wheel was strong, turning his knuckles almost white
I felt uncomfortable and I leaned back hoping to reach soon

We reached almost after 30 minutes –thank you traffic-
I unlocked the door with kai and Christian both standing behind me
I glanced at both of them as I opened the door. The house was awfully quiet and I couldn't hear anyone
"Mom?" I called out but no response
"Mom?" Christian called out but still no
response
Kai held my hand and motioned me to keep quiet. He signaled us that there might be danger and so we have to be safe.
He pulled me behind him and Christian looked at him if it weren't for me, kai would've been shot right now.
Christian pulled me behind him and kai rolled his eyes, he then made a "seriously" face and we walked inside being as quite as possible.
It was so quiet I could hear my own heart beating wildly
We checked the kitchen first when we heard a slight voice coming directly from the living room.
All of us turned around at once and kai being at front me in the middle and Christian at the last made our way towards the living room.
I didn't notice kai and Christian holding a gun in their hands ready to shoot any instant.
Holy shit where did they get those. I swallowed visibly freaking out
Kai opened the living room door ready to shoot but froze in his track. I glanced inside to see my mom sitting emotionless on the sofa and my dad in front of her
"Hayl, I suppose we have some catching up to do"
