Christian's POV
The entire day passed in a blur of making calls and arguing but we still couldn't get a name or even an address
"Listen everyone?" all of us gathered around Hayley
"I think we should ask someone"
Everyone looked at her with clear confusion until one realised - it wasn't me
"Hayley no"
"Please kai this is the only way"
I was pissed off about the fact that kai knew who she was talking about and I didn't And suddenly it hit me
"Jonathan???"
Caleb and Leo looked at me in surprise because they didn't know about that story
"You guys know him?"
"He is Hayley's father"
Leo dropped his phone and blinked in amusement
"And I am getting to know about this now?"
"Listen this isn't important right now, I think we should ask him for help"
"I agree" kai said instantly
"I know Jonathan and I know he would help you right now when he is miserable without you and is finding ways to apologize"
"So you mean we use Hayley?" Lucas said
"No we aren't using anyone but kai is right, dad will do anything for forgiveness and we shouldn't be dramatic fools to not use this opportunity"
Kai's eyes twinkled in pride at how Hayley was speaking like a mafia woman and not caring about feelings
"If you say so Hayley, I'm in" I said
"So am I" said kai, Leo and Caleb
All of us looked at Lucas who after a bit of hesitation also said "okay"
"Great then who will take me to dad?" Hayley said
My jaw tightened because I knew there is only one person who could do that
"I will" it was kai
Hayley seemed to have no problem with this new partnership and no one else did so I decided to pass it, I didn't want to look like a psychopath who is obsessed with his wife
"Let's go then"
Hayley's POV
It was mid-day when kai decided to take me to dad's quarters. As much as I hated this a part of me wanted to see my dad, hug him, talk to him and most of all, hear him say how much he misses me
Kai nudged my shoulder and only then I took in the unfamiliar building surrounded by guards who were definitely my dad's men
We got off the car and went inside the elevator
"Are you okay?" kai asked and I nodded
I knew he could see I was lying but I couldn't get myself to agree. I can never get used to this mafia side of everyone I think
We got off the elevator and were now standing in front of a huge door which kai knocked and opened
"Let's go"
Kai's POV
When we reached I could see all his men staring at her. It made me angry at how they were staring her not knowing she was his daughter.
I tried to control my anger and made my way inside to his room. It's been a few days since I last came here but it feels like eternity
I knocked the door and his voice asked us to come in. I opened the door and gestured Hayley to go in first
Upon entering I saw the same room but Hayley saw something entirely different
Hayley's POV
"Dad" dad immediately stood up from his chair and made his way towards me. His eyes softened and his entire mafia attitude changed as he took my hand in his
"Hayl" he whispered so softly but it was enough to make my heart flutter like the same 9 year old baby who got excited to see her dad
Without saying anything I hugged him and he did the same. It felt so good to get the fatherly love I almost forgot existed that I got off the track
After I pulled apart both me and kai got seated and told him about everything
He seemed to have adopted his mafia mind because he wasn't very angry instead he was thinking in a lot of different ways
After I completed my story he looked at me with pride in his eyes and said
"I'm glad you came here, I will do anything to help that means I will find out whoever it is"
His words were the most consoling thing I had heard in a few days and even if I hated him for the past, I was glad I came here for his help because I felt a lot more positive about it now
We talked for a while until it was time to leave and kai already left to get his car
I was about to leave when he called me out
"Hayl"
"Yes dad?"
"I'm glad you came"
"I'm glad I came too dad"
He smiled so warmly that it melted my heart and what my heart was feeling right now, I couldn't express it in words
It was that moment when my decided decided to screw it all and live in the moment
"I think I can forgive you for everything dad"
