Chapter 15

Caleb's POV: 

I was in trig with Bean again today she like usual finished the assignment before everyone else. 

Most everyone else looked like they wanted to pull their hair out. 

"Hey can you help me again? I'm having a hard time with number 12." 

She nodded and I pulled my chair up to her desk. 

She wrote They're all the wrong answer.

"What for real?"

She nodded. 

"Hey could you help tutor me? I already study at Nicks all the time and we could go through the homework together?" 

She nodded again. 

"Great how's after school today?" 

She looked kinda anxious after I said that. 

"It's ok if not, but if it's about Nick I can text him to ask right now." 

She just nodded. 

"Ask Nick?" 

Another nod. 

"Sweet." 

Maisy's POV: 

At lunch today Zero gave me something called pudding to try and it was really good. 

I think I really like pudding. 

"Hey Garren can you teach me Sign Language? Bean's gonna tutor me and I wanna understand and not make her have to write everything down." 

"Wait is she tutoring you in math?" Ezra asked. 

"Yeah why?" 

"Can you tutor me too?" He asked me. 

I looked at Zero to see if it was ok. 

"They asked you, not me. You can if you want to." 

"Ooh me too?" Sage asked. 

I don't want them to be mad at me. 

River's POV: 

I can't believe that prick punched me yesterday. 

That Brat is going to pay for that. 

And she doesn't speak so that'll be fun to play around with. 

I saw her walking alone in the hall again. 

That's her first mistake. 

"Hey tiny, why don't you come with me. We'll have some fun." I said grabbing her arm and pulling her into the library. 

"River let her go."

"Come on Ezra. She's just helping me study? Right tiny?" 

"I'll get Sage to come deal with this if I have to." 

"We'd probably be done by then, I just need help with a few things." 

Ezra's POV: 

I saw River going after Bean now. 

What the fuck is his deal. 

River is a rapist. 

No doubt about it. 

I'm not letting Bean go through that. 

"River let her go."

"Come on Ezra. She's just helping me study? Right tiny?" 

"I'll get Sage to come deal with this if I have to."

 "We'd probably be done by then, I just need help with a few things."

She looked like she was about to pass out. 

He tried to go into the library. 

"I swear to god River if you bring her in there you're going to regret that choice. Come here Bean."

She tried to move to come with me, but River pulled her into his arms. 

I heard her whimper. 

"I don't think so Ezra."

She stretched out her arms to try to grab my hands. 

I grabbed them and pulled her out of his arms. 

I know it had to have hurt her, but she needed to get away from him. 

I put her behind me. 

"She's not one of your playthings we'll be watching you. Come on Bean." 

"Whatever. We'll pick this up later tiny."
