At first I thought it was from the whiskey, but that would have been some what preposterous. (For I had only two sips).

As I was sitting on my living room couch when I heard a loud crash. I thought it had come from the front door or perhaps the living room, I was wrong. Looking down I had dropped my glass of whiskey on the wooden floor of my living room. But rather than picking up the whiskey glass along with the now spilt whiskey that was lying on the floor below me, I slowly looked back up at this man. No forgive me, he was no man. He was a bright figure, glowing before me. A figure that may be what an angel looks like- but he had no halo as most sculptures and paintings portray the look of what an angel may appear to be.

I stood up from my living room couch. He stood the same height as me; six foot one. Once I had stood up, the bright light that was covering me from seeing his true form, vanished. Now he stood before me, man to man- god to god- disciple to disciple- louse to louse. His hair was long brown, his skin was the color of honey, his eyes were a pure sky blue, and he wore no clothing to cover his body. His body hair was neither shaved as well.

"James Carter, son of Benjamin Carter and Susan Carter." His voice was angelic, it was incongruous. Which made it all the more mesmerizing.

Seeing god before them, most people would be lost for words not knowing what to say, or they may fall to their knees in disbelief. But as you know, I am not like most men. "God, why have you appeared before me? I am fulfilling my purpose in life, just as you have guided me to. For you were the one whom opened the path of righteousness for me. A path to create a perfect world for you and for people like me."

A huge gust of wind swept throughout the living room, though there were no windows open. "A world of sin, will be no world." Were these words an attempt to vex me? When god had spoken this to me, a sudden feeling of annoyance fell over me. "The world in which you dream of, is the world that will soon follow after your death?"

"What are you speaking of?" My voice raised on its own, as if I had no control over the volume in which I were to respond after hearing such a thing out of god's own mouth, the god who lead me down this path. "The whole reason for my purpose, the reason for my existence is to cleanse this sinful world in which I live in. What must I do now? Are you satisfied? There are still many adulterers to come my way. You were the one who lead all of them to me." I fell silent when I realized I had been talking in such a demanding way towards god, the same god who had given me a purpose to live.

"Before you follow your death, you must confess to a women, confess the blood which lies in your hands. This women will be not just any women, but a women that I shall send to you. A women whose life will be dedicated to finding you. Then, and only then, will it be your time to go."

These were the last words god had spoken to me. The bring light in which he had first appeared to me, soon reappeared. It were as if I was looking into the bright yellow sun that shines on a clear day. Then, just like that- the bright light, as well as god- disappeared.

From that day on, I knew what my new purpose in life was- the purpose in which god had placed before me.

Until the day in which god sends a women my way- I shall wait.
