Nishikita washed his hands on the sink, throwing water up to his face. He relaxed and steadied himself
"This is the day! That I win and and get that medal!" Nishikita confidently told himself
He then suddently had memories of the fiasco that was his "date" with Sanea.
His stomach squeezed on what happened that day
"What!?" Nishikita nearly stumbled over another rock
Sanea simply squeezed his hand harder, earning a blush from Nishikita
"Sanea? Why are you holding my hand? i-Is something wrong?" Nishikita asked
Sanea blushed 4 different shades before timidly replying
"No" As she started walking quicker, catching Nishikita off guard
"Then why are you holding my h-hand?" Nishikita restated
"Because I want to" Sanea replied to the dense boy
"Wha-" Nishikita gasped in shock before Sanea dragged in on top of a hill. It was getting dark, the two sat on a bench overlooking the festival when all of a sudden, there was a sudden burst of heat. Nishikita and Sanea looked in wonder as the bonfire the 3-2 class had planned flew up in fire. Luckily it was far away from anything that could catch fire. People tried desperatly to calm the fire. Using fire extinguishers and buckets of water to cool it down. The students could only watch as their bonfire burned and burned
But the fire was beautiful, Sanea watched as the left side of Nishikita's face grew warm and orange with the glow of fire. She suddenly stood up and announced
"Nishikita! Can I be your girlfriend?"
The wind stopped, Nishikita starred at Sanea in astonishment
"b-Be my g-girlfriend..?" Nishikita repeated, soaking in the calamity of what she just said
She nodded before looking Nishikita in the eye
"So...what do you say?" She pressed
"Ah oh I will reply to you tomorrow! I promise! Just wait for the end of the festival uh I gotta go!" Nishikita quickly made his escape from the scene, leaving Sanea puzzled
"That wasn't normal..." Sanea spoke softly to herself
Nishikita shook himself off the memory, there wasn't time for such thoughts. He was going to win the greatest achievement possible!
He stepped out of the bathroom and quickly was intercepted by Sanae, Yukari, and Mina.
"What do you guys want?" Nishikita asked with curiosity, the three girls giggled to themselves before explaining
"We are going to sabotage the Takoyaki stand! They are going to beat us if we don't do anything!" The girls annouced
"What!? s-sabotage!? Why? Isn't that against the rules?" Nishikita questioned out loud
"Not if they don't catch us!" Mina replied, before ushering her friends out of the cafe
Nishikita sighed. Takagi giggled next to him.
"Oh hey Takagi! Do you need anything?" Nishikita offered
"No I already got what I wanted, you are so funny Nishikita!" Takagi giggled even more at him. Nishikita looked away in embarrassment
Nishikita attempted to escape but Takagi cut him from his escape rounte, the cafe exit.
"Hey Nishikita, do you like someone?" She asked, with a glint of excitement in her eye
