Chapter XLIX: Selfless

THE GLAMOURAN ELF pushed herself off the elemental hero who leaned at her earlier. The fire element on the other hand was more than fired up for their unfinished battle to continue. Y/n blankly stared at the male teenager beside her who has his hand above his eyes in search of the missing monster that they still had to defeat. The stance of the boy looked like he was looking for a fight which Y/n thought that he probably actually was. "Where is it?" He turned to the elf in confusion, noticing that she wasn't doing anything at all.
"I am just waiting," She blankly began.
"Waiting for what─"
He was cut off when he felt himself being pulled on the arm by the female alien, he processed everything late since he just noticed that he was now behind the (h/c)-haired girl but he wasn't too late to see the action commence. He saw Y/n elbow something that wasn't visible to any eye human or not. In a flash the culprit revealed itself, grunting in pain while holding its stomach area where the female attacked it. "You! What's the big deal, are you a wimp or what?" Boboiboy Blaze joined in while crossing his arms in the process.
"Don't think we didn't notice that you're trying to separate us from the team. Are you planning on ambushing us? That's not going to work," the male teenager punched his palm, getting ready to finish what they have begun as summoned fire began surrounding his fist. "Thanks, Y/n. Now let's continue shall we?" Blaze generated a good amount of flame from his hand before using all of his strength to punch. "Please do not act rashly," the elf sighed deeply, already feeling finished at the scene that she has to face with a defeated look on her visage.
"Heh, here I thought I was a worrywart!" He casually shrugged and nudged the young Glamouran who gave him a deadpanned look in exchange. "Alright, back to the case. If you're just a replicated version of the real monster, where is the true cause of this mess?" Blaze narrowed his eyes in caution. "One shall not tell, I will not lead you to my master. Especially not you," the Huay Chivo grunted in pain, trying to suppress the new pain in its stomach.
"You're a privy one aren't ya? Won't be privy any time soon enough once I show you my meteor!" He pushed his invisible sleeves up, a vein bulging around the area of his forehead while he gritted his teeth in fury. The atmosphere around them got hotter because of the heat that he managed to conjure with his powers. "Can we perhaps not resolve to trouble?" Y/n placed a hand on the young man's shoulder, attempting to calm his emotions down with that simple gesture.
"Uish, fine! But only because you say so," the fire element reluctantly gave up, a grumble escaping his lips before speaking. "But that doesn't mean I will leave it off the hook after this, this bastard is lucky it has valuable information with it," he dropped his crossed arms and turned to the direction their adversary was once in. Both the element and Y/n blinked at the empty ground before them, noticing the disappearance of the Glamouran monster once again.
