Chapter 10

One month has passed and Haris's condition was now much improved

He had regular sessions with the doctor and the doctor was having hope to see him again on his feets

In this one month Haris and Mariam's relation also improved they become best friends they both lived eachother but were afraid of rejection

Iftikhar and his Family tried to get Mariam back as Ahmed wasn't helping him after he insulted Haris

They even tried to file a case in coart that they are keeping her daughter by force but when Mariam was asked she refused and told them that she was very happy

Today Haris was Having an appointment with the doctor and Hassan was the one to accompany him

Doctor said he was going to tell them an important news so they all were eager to know what it was

Haris was looking forword to stand on his feet he was feeling that he'll be back to life again

Asma and Ahmed also hoped to have their Old playful Haris back

It was afternoon, Haris and Hassan were in the doctors cabin

"So...Mr Haris your process is going very well and i would love you tell you this that  there are chances of you standing on your feet again" he said making both Haris and Hassan smile out of happiness

"But, it is only possible if you have an operation..." he said again and Haris looked at Hassan

"We are willing to do anything in order to make him stand on his feet again doctor, when can he have the operation?" Hassan said

"The operation can be done in Canada... there is a friend of mine who is a specialist in this field so i suggest you to have your operation there" doctor suggested and Haris nodded

They both bid there goodbye's and started going towards home

After half an hour they were at home sitting in the living room with everyone else

"And the doctor suggested Haris to have his operation in Canada" Hassan said after explaining everything to them

"Then we should arrange tickets and an appointment with the doctor" Ahmed said making Asma nodd

"Hassan" Ahmed called Hassan and in reply he hummed "you arrange the tickets for the three of us and I'll arrange the appointment " He said

Hassan nodded and asked him when they are willing to go to which Ahmed said the next flight

Mariam was sitting silently looking at them and glancing at Haris from time to time hoping to see her husband on his feet one day

Haris saw her looking  at him and nodded his head to calm her down

Their flight was booked on the next day at 6 P.M so they dismissed to pack their things which they might need

Haris and Mariam were in their room Haris was looking at her while she was packing his bag with worry overflowing from her face

Haris called Mariam and told her to come near him

She obeyed him and went near him

"Why are you worried?" Haris asked while caressing her face

"I don't know...i just....Will you be okay?" Mariam asked looking in his eyes

"Of course janam I'm going to be fine don't worry and InShaAllah you will see me standing on my feet when you meet me again" Haris said and smiled at Mariam easing her tension

"You better do that or i won't talk to you" Mariam said making Haris smile

"You won't?" Haris asked with a small smile

"No"

"Ohh then that means I'll have to come by my feet at any condition" Haris said and they both smiled looking at eachother

".....I'll miss you" Mariam said after a gap

"Really?" Haris asked to which she nodded

"But i won't" Haris said smiling smugly while Mariam pouted

"Of course why will you, you are only going to miss this bed of yours" Mariam said making Haris shock

"who told you about my love for this bed?" Haris asked while being sure it was his mother

"Ami did" Mariam said proudly and laughed "i can't believe you used to say
That you'll love this bed morw than your wife"

"Well i do love it more" Haris said making Mariam laugh harder

"Sure sure" Mariam said between her laugh

And like that they had some more conversations with them laughing

They were feeling light after a long time

The universe was smiling looking at the couple

After talking they both prayed their isha prayer and went to sleep
