(but you could use for anyone else if you want. i just want someone to take the plot)

It's hard to love yourself when the person you want most in your life decides you're nothing but another person in the mosaic of life. Everything was a joke to him, and I laughed at the way he was so oblivious.

It made me angry, the way he talked about other girls and expected me to not get jealous. It made me angry every time he'd hold my hand and call me pretty yet turn his gaze to another girl. Maybe mutter, 'She's the prettiest girl I've ever seen' as if I wasn't standing next to him. Holding his hand. Loving his sun-kissed kiss knowing I could only see it.

Not touch it.

Not kiss it.

Not love it the way I dreamt all those nights before.

I felt neglected. Knowing we'd been friends for over a decade and he still didn't notice my attempts for romance.

He was my first kiss. And he doesn't know that.

But how will I get him to notice what's right in front of him?
