It's the last race of the season and I can't believe it.
It's like just yesterday I landed in Abu Dhabi with Marcus and now here we are preparing to say goodbye.
I held my out arms as Xena, my trainer pulled my suit over them, zipping me up. I then put on my shoes before Niko slid my gloves on for me.
I rolled my neck gently before stretching.
"princess"
I smiled spinning around.
There stood Mick with a bouquet of flowers.

He set them down before wrapping his arms around me.
"ready?"
"ready freddy" I winked.
He pushed a piece of hair behind my ear.

I smiled kissing him.

We shared one more kiss before he left.
I picked up the flowers and smelt them before handing them to Niko.
I climbed into my car and drove it out onto the grid.
After the national anthem I returned to it and pulled my balaclava on. The staff held a umbrella over my head as we waited for the formation lap.
I put in my wheel and tore off my visor.
"can you hear me Kraus?"
"loud and clear carlo" I replied scanning over my wheel for the last time.

Soon enough the track cleared and we were off on our formation lap.
I swerved in and out warming up my tires.
Once the lap was completed we all pulled into our grid positions.
I took a deep breath closing my eyes letting my hands rest on the wheel.
5...4...3...2...1!
They shot open.
"lights out and away we go!"

I screamed passing the checkered flag.
I punched the air watching my team on the side hanging off the fence.
