Unphotograph Memories

These memories are unphotograph, but it still remains in my head.

We ran so far,
And sleep in your car;
Like the black birds in the sunset,
And how you and I met;
You put a flower on my ear,
The yellow ever green sunflower,
And for the first time, I fear –
This might not last forever.

But the sun was there;
It was here, the moonlight;
Our rings seemed right for each other,
And your smile was bright –
And we made our promise.

Remember how you held my hands with the car keys?
You and my kiss;
The reflected light in our rings –
And we have hope of tomorrow,
Hoping for bright glees;
And we have hope of yesterday,
These unphotograph memories.

Our lips touched,
It was a crimson catch;
My fingernails on the piano,
You brushed my hair off;
The sound of the melody said no,
But this love was real.

This love was very real . . .

Because you were humming a song,
We both know this was wrong,
But we made it right.
