A year service is almost coming to an end and it's been a nice journey, mingling with people in the office, going for office dinner every Friday evening (it's a custom in the company she's serving) and all. Apart from going for CDS and monthly clearance at the LG.
Sabeeha is sitting in her office, getting some work done when her phone buzzed. She picked up her phone and checked. It's a WhatsApp message from an unknown number. She clicked on the message:
Salam alaikum, Sabeeha
Walaikum salam, please who's this?-S
It's Mahmud, Aisha's boyfriend -M
Oh, long time -S
Yeah, how are you? -M
Alhamdulillah, I'm fine -S
I'm texting you to invite you to my convocation which is coming up next month -M
Congratulations, more success ahead -S
Aamiin -M
University of Abuja, right? -S
Yes -M
May Allah spare our lives till then -S

She read the message and went offline to complete the pending work. Finishing up her work, Khalil, her colleague walked in.
"Salam alaikum, Misssss Sabeeha" stressing out the Miss part
"Walaikum salam, Mr Khalil"
"How has been your day?"
"Alhamdulillah, not bad"
"I am here to ask you about the restaurant we are going to for dinner tomorrow, so that i can make reservations"
"I think BluCabana Restaurant & Cafe is okay"
"Done" Khalil still standing without moving an inch
"Aren't you leaving Monsieur?"
Sabeeha isn't always comfortable around Khalil coz he's someone that always have this flirtatious look whenever he's around Sabeeha. He has asked Sabeeha out on several occasions which Sabeeha always turned down. Khalil isn't the religious type, he clubs and hangs out with different girls.
"Sabeeha na"
"What, Khalil?"
"When are you gonna accept my proposal?"
"Not even in your wildest dream, Khalil"
"But i truly love you"
"And you're not my type"
"Ouch, that breaks my heart" placing his hand on his chest acting like he's been shot with an arrow
"Khalil, can you please leave?"
"Why?"
"Coz i have lot of things, I mean work to do"
"Okay then, see you later"
With that he left her office to his. Sabeeha was done with the work before 5pm. She checked the time on her Apple watch and it's already closing time. She packed her stuffs and grabbed her car keys with water bottle. She dropped at Bleu Cafe to get desserts for herself and Faisal coz Faisal messaged her to help him get dessert from Bleu Cafe on her way back from work as his own office isn't the same lane with the cafe.
