11: A Poem For a Friend

For your dreams ,
You strived so hard
You suffered but never gave up ,
You keep on trying and trying
It's annoys me , you're unwavering faith
But it changed me , the more I get to know you.
I've seen it all ,
How the world treats you
It's imperfect but you deal it a smile ,
I can't really understand it all
How you're still optimistic ,
How you're still doing your best.
It's kinda stupid for me ,
How you keep things so simple
People treats you unkind ,
But you treats them with honesty.
It's so annoying ,
Because you're different from me
I know how life works ,
What people can do for their own greed
They try to coax you ,
With honey coated lies
But in the end ,
Not everyone is kind.
That's why I became like this ,
Cold , cynical and lived with distrust
I've been through hell and back ,
I learned how to be tough.
That's why when I met you ,
You really puzzled me
We're like oil and water ,
Two completely different people.
It bugs me ,
how you lead your life
How you tried to brush it off ,
When things get difficult
I've seen it ,
I couldn't believe
That such a person do exist ,
How you're still smiling ,
How you're still laughing ,
Even when the world is unfair to you.
If I haven't met you ,
I wouldn't have known
How warm your hug is ,
How good to have a friend like you
You've been there through ups and downs ,
You cheered me and been my constant support
When I need to talk to ,
When I need someone to lean on
You've been there always ,
From the trivial things ,
To my serious moments.
For all the sad things I've had ,
For the pains ,
For all the struggles ,
For all the ugly things I've had
I almost gone astray but...
You saved me from becoming bad
You're like a ray of sunlight ,
It shines through my lonely soul.
I knew you haven't had a happy past ,
But you still grow up being a good person
The pain , the sorrow , the sad memories ,
You filled it with new happy ones
So I regretted treating you not nicely ,
I was a bit unfair
I was a bit immature ,
I guess I was just so hurt after all.
But how you persevered ,
Really captivates me
How you worked hard ,
It amazes me
You treated me still as a friend ,
Despite my indifference towards you.
Life was imperfect ,
But you made it bearable.
So I can say .. I was saved ,
I was changed ,
I was reborn again
If I didn't met you?
What will my life be
If you didn't appear ,
I would be possibly be consumed by my hatred
So for you , my friend ...
My very best friend ,
I'm sorry for you ,
I appreciate you ,
I cherish you ,
I support you ,
And thank you ...

For the things to come!..
