This chapter is a bit of a calm-down after the last chapter before it gets a bit hectic again lol. Still just as good though, I promise, in fact, I hope you enjoy the change of scenery. I just thought I'd give y'all a chance to breathe haha. It's a smol boi tho- like our bb boi Coney-woney.

OH! And before we start, that you all so much for 1.1k reads! Oh, and as of now, 38 readers! For some, this isn't much, but I started this story with the thought of: "I'll be lucky if I get maybe five readers, half of which being my friends!" BUT NO!!!

I've had some massive supporters, but in particular, shout out to: @Quackity_Simp_Winter @rileyisonhere @Yeehawww6373737 and so, so many others!

ALSO- SoMEonE bought my NES design as a sticker- if it's one of you lemme know so I can scream with happiness at you! I now have it as a sticker and a shirt ahhh. I'll release more Conan designs soon!

As a special treat, here's Conan's POV:

I'm left stunned, watching her run off, only stopping to grab her purse before dashing out the door. What the heck have I done? It's painful, watching her go like that. Was it something that I did? Was it a sound I made? Did I freak her out? Does she not like me that way?!

The fireworks crash around me, drowning out the sound of my thudding heart. Gunpowder settles atop the pavements of the city, the smell of it thick in the air which is icy as always. Maybe I'm mistaken... maybe I was right in thinking that she and Caspian had something between them. God, I'm so... stupid. I never learn. She doesn't love me like that- they never do. No wonder. God, I'm too skinny, my hair's too long, I'm too sensitive, I'm too sarcastic, I drink too much coffee, I can never do anything right. I'm not the guy she deserves.

I feel stupid, standing here alone in the cold while my friends are inside, dancing and drinking, but I can't bring myself to move. Big, fat tears well in my eyes now, threatening to spill. I look down off my balcony to see a miniature y/n and Daniel, getting into a cab on the busy streets below. It feels like a stab to the heart, that finally wrenches out the tears. The tears spill down my cheeks, plummeting towards the ground 30 stories below. I've ruined her night, and now she's going to hate me. God Conan, your first kiss sucked.

Well... at least for her. My cheeks heat up at the memory of her cheeks on mine. The way they felt- soft and warm against mine. The way that she pulled me close in her arms and the way that she held me- so gentle yet so timid. The way that her mouth felt, and how she tasted like pineapples and champagne feels like something from a dream... at least what used to be a dream. Now, it's more of a rotten nightmare, thanks to me.

Dragging my feet, I wipe my tears put on a plastic smile and wrench open the glass sliding door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thanks for coming!" I smile at Doris as she slips through the door gracefully before I slam it.
I'm exhausted, and it's almost 3 AM. It's only Ashley and I now and we're stuck with a mess of littered cups and glitter everywhere. Ash and I don't speak, only exchanging a look that says: 'We better get this done and over with.'
She grabs a trash bag, scooping up plastic cups and I turn to the bathroom, pulling out a cleaning cloth. It's surprisingly clean in there, and I'm taken aback by the lack of lipstick on the mirror. The last time Olivia and Jenna were at my apartment, I walked in during the middle of the night to take a piss only to find bright red and purple glittery lipstick on the glass, perfectly in the shape of their lips. Luckily, there's none of that this time. I'm fine with the mess my friends make, as long as it isn't in my bedroom, and is easy to clean up.
