Till yesterday, tried to forget,
Thought sacrifices would make you glad,
Now no more hiding, no more regret,
I know I want you, and I am sure you do too.
I Recall that night, words from my heart,
Promised never to leave like those before,
You, drunk, your world fell apart,
Then as friends, I stayed, longing for something more,
I know I want you, and I am sure you do too.
So I agreed I'll stay as your friend,
But not forever,
As I know you will call me your lover,
One day, because
I know I want you, and I am sure you do too.
"Why wait?" you ask. Because I love you as much as you do is all I will reply,
In your arms, my heart finds solace and sky,
Our love, a force, no doubts can defy,
I know I want you, and I am sure you do too.
I know, one day, you'll embrace the truth,
Like the winter yielding to the spring,
In the cold, I'll be your comfort's sleuth,
My love for you, a song that I still sing,
I know I want you, and I am sure you do too.
Until you claim me as yours to hold,
With a tender kiss that sets love anew,
My affection for you, unwavering and bold,
I'll wait, for I know you want me too.
