Waking up to a weight on my chest, I look up to see Chief looking down at me

Morning buddy, you want to go outside I ask him, getting out of bed as he follows behind me wagging his tail

Looking at the clock on my bedside table, I notice it's 8:30. Well, so much for sleeping in a bit

Come on boy, I open my door, heading downstairs, I automatically see Bella in the living room.

Morning, I say as me and chief pass by her walking into the kitchen.

Morning she says back surprisingly being nice

Did dad already leave I asked her pouring some coffee from the already made batch

Yeah, he's helping the Seattle department on the disappearances, said he wouldn't be home until late.

Okay, I'm taking chief to the beach in a bit, I tell her, drinking my coffee.

Okay, Edwards coming over, and we are gonna hangout here. Dad said it was okay.

Before I can answer her, there's a knock on the door. Bella jumps up off the couch, clearly expecting it to be Edward.

I'm looking for Bailey, Paul's voice says from the door.

What do you want with my sister, she says rudely

He's returning my truck. Calm down, I say, walking over to the door.

Thank you, Paul, I say, as he hands me my keys.

You're welcome, he says

I feel something brush against my leg, looking down I see Chief sitting in between my legs looking up at Paul hesitatingly

Hey buddy, he says, squatting down sticking his hand out towards Chief

Chief inches closer to him, sniffing his hand before moving closer to him, he sits in front of Paul and looks up at him

Aww! I think he likes you, I say, as Paul starts petting him.

I think he does as well. he says standing back up

Go ahead buddy, I tell Chief as I see him staring out the door

He runs out the door and into the yard before rolling around in the grass

He seems like he's happy, Paul says, watching chief before looking back at me.
