Henry, Jasper, and I walked in Henry's house and saw Mr. and Mrs. Hart scrambling to hide their silverware.
"Hey, what about forks?" Mr. Hart asked
"Yes! Definitely hide the forks!" Mrs. Hart sound panicked "You can kill a person with a fork."
"Right!" Mr. Hart put a bunch of forks in a bin
"Uhh.. Mom? Dad?" Henry called out to them
"What, what is it, Henry!?"
"What, what, what- oh, hey Audrianna sweetie." Mrs. Hart smiled warmly at me and I returned the smile
"I.. I just wanna know what you guys are doin'." Henry said
"Well.. Y'know how Piper signed up for that weekend ski trip with a bunch of kids from her class?" Mrs. Hart asked
"Uh, yeah sure."
"That's why me and Henry are havin' a boys weekend together." Jasper chimed in
"Hey, can you not call us boys?" Henry asked
"But we are boys. Baaaad boys." Jasper smirked
"You're not even men." I teased
He sighed "Anyway, what's the problem with Piper's ski trip?"
"Well, y'know her friend.. That girl Narlee?" Mr. Hart asked
"Uh, yeah."
"Well, Narlee's mom called to tell us that the other kids all left on the ski trip without Piper." Mrs. Hart explained
"What?"
"Yikes."
"Why?"
"They didn't want her to go." Mr. Hart answered
"Well, what'd Piper say?" I asked
Mr. and Mrs. Hart stopped in their tracks "We haven't told her yet."
"We're trying to hide everything dangerous first." Mrs. Hart added
"When did we stop being boys?" Jasper blurted out, earning a glare from Henry
"Hey!" Mr. Hart beamed
"Yeah?" Mrs. Hart turned to him
"Let's make Henry tell her." Mr. Hart suggested
"Ooh, right!" Mrs. Hart exclaimed
"Uh, no, no, no, no.. There's no way I'm telling Piper." Henry objected
"Tell me what?" Piper asked, making us all jump
"Dear God she had ski poles.." Mr. Hart whispered
"Okay.. Why do you all look so freaked out?"
