Shadows of Deception

Delphines POV:

"Kookiness kodikas," I whisper just loud enough for my three best friends to hear through the earpiece.

(Greek | code red)

"She called a code red. We need to go get her like now " Isabel said, talking to her brothers. Then it just goes silent on their end.

"Drop your gun, and if you try anything just know you're surrounded," the man said with his thick  Italian accent.

As soon as he says the last word, guards start popping up from behind crates and coming down the stairs.

The person that was behind the crate pops up and points her gun at me. The girl has half-white half black hair with brown eyes and has on an all-black outfit. I recognize her as Amore Romano. Another girl then does the same but from a different crate. She looks exactly like Amore, same hair, the same outfit, same eye color. I recognize the second girl as Alessa Romano, Amore's twin sister.

Out of my peripheral vision, I see a girl walking down the stairs to my left, but I can't see her face.

Once she gets down the stairs I can see her face. She had brown hair and blue eyes and was in an all-black outfit. I recognize her as Aurora Russo, the daughter of one of the most powerful mafia bosses in the world.

"Persephone, what a pleasure to finally meet you," she says with a fake smile.

She was about to walk to me but stopped dead in her tracks when she saw two of her guards fall dead. I immediately knew who shot them.

Isabel and Antonio bust through the big doors with their guns raised.

"Let her go, Lorenzo," Isabel said with anger laced in her voice.

He just laughed, "I don't think I will," he said, tossing his knife on the floor pulling out his gun, and pointing it at my head.

"Breathe Delphine, just breathe," I told myself trying to get my breathing under control. I don't do good around men.

"I see you brought the whole crew with you," Alessa said, pointing her gun at Isabel and Antonio. "but there's one missing," Amore said, looking at me for an answer as to where the fourth one was.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Matteo in the shadows getting his gun ready, no one can see him because of how dark it is.

"Where is Azrael?" Amore asked in a demanding tone. "You'll find out," Isabel said, and as soon as she said that gunshots rang through the room.

Everyone gets on the ground and starts firing toward Matteo. Only god knows how he got in here without being seen.
Isabel and Antonio start firing at the guards at the top of the stairs on the right side. Lorenzo then pulls me behind a crate and ties my hands and feet up. I try to fight back but he's stronger than me.

I peek my head from behind the crate and look at Matteo. There's something wrong. I then look more closely, there's a guard behind Matteo.

"Azrael, detrás de ti," I say into the earpiece. Isabel and  Antonio then look at Matteo, and Matteo turns around and the guard points his gun at the back of Matteo's head. "Drop your weapon. Now" the guard said and everyone stopped shooting.
(Spanish ~ Azrael, behind you)

Matteo did as the guard said and walked out from the shadows. "Azrael, we finally meet," Lorenzo said, walking over to him. He then tries to tie him up but Matteo fights back.

Alessa then pulls out a chloroform-soaked rag, she tries to walk up to Matteo but Isabel stops her, Alessa then takes her knife and stabs Isabel in the left side of her stomach.

Antonio then runs up to her takes his jacket off and wraps it around her stab wound.

I hear footsteps behind me and I turn and I meet with a rag to my face. I hold my breath and try not to breathe it in.

"Get the fuck away from her" I hear Matteo's voice and then his body falls to the ground. "He breathed it, HE FUCKING BREATHED I-" My thoughts were interrupted when I saw a guard sneaking up behind Antonio and Isabel.

"DETRÁS DE TI" I shouted, but when I yelled I also breathed in the chloroform. The last thing I heard was Antonio and Isabel yelling then I blacked out.
(Spanish ~ BEHIND YOU)

★☆★☆★☆

"Ntóli, xýpna sto diáolo" I heard a female voice say as she shook me.
(greek ~ Dolly, wake the fuck up)

"Ti écho, stamáta na me tarakounás," I say, sitting up and rubbing my forehead.
(greek ~ what I'm up, stop shaking me)

"where are we?" I ask, looking at my surroundings. "Where in a van, and I have no clue where we're going," Antonio says, rubbing his forehead in frustration. "Wait, Del, do you speak Italian?" Matteo asks in a low sleepy voice. "What makes you think she speaks Italian?" Antonio asks, staring at his brother.

"Because she speaks like 45 different languages, there's no way in hell she doesn't know how to speak or understand Italian," Matteo says in a matter-of-factual tone.

"Parlo Italiano," I say in Italian, looking at the two brothers.
(Italian ~ I do speak Italian)

"What?" the three blondes say at the same time, looking at me with confused expressions. "I said I do speak Italian," "Alright what does 'portal alla tenuta della famiglia Russo' mean?" Isabel asked. I gave her a shocked expression, the fact she doesn't know a lick of Italian and pronounced all that right is very impressive.
(Italian ~  take them to the Russo family estate)

"First, the fact that you pronounced all that right and you don't speak a lick of Italian is impressive, second, that means take them to the Russo family estate," I said, playing with the hem of my shirt.

"Thank you, and why the fuck are they taking us to the Russo estate?" Isabel asked, "I don't know but we're about to find out, the van is slowing down," I said, trying to wiggle my hands out of the ropes.

The van then comes to a stop.
