Clouds and Stars

In a far, lonely, tiny world

knitted by a silkworm

sky, seas, trees, clouds

on a foreign earth that spins and spins

A bee rests on a flower of white

A bird of colour roams the sky

Trees grow then die to make ships, chests, and homes

A boy companies his walls and door, with a touch of grass on his step

Birds soar, roots grow

a rabbit sits between some stones

a dove soars and roams

her eyes shine like stars

she taps his windows soft like rain

a song like gentle perfume fills his room

the boy steps from his lonesome chamber

breeze from a meadow touches his face lovingly

he sees beauty, and beauty sees him!

the mountain range adorns his horizons

a small ant strolls on the pavement

the sun lights his parched heart

sky, seas, trees, clouds

his eyes shine like stars
