Another slow day in smiling valley.

Dogday was pacing around the park, muttering to himself, when he got noticed by a certain green bunny who was practicing her jump roping.

"Hey Dogday! Whatcha doin?"

The orange canine looked at her. "Oh hey hoppy!" He says with a smile. "Nothing big, just planning something."

Hoppy smiles. "Ooh, what's the occasion?"

Day looks down shyly. "Well, it's nothing special... just..."

He then looks at her giddily.

"Today's the day where I'm gonna tell catnap how I really feel!"

Hoppy's eyes go wide. "Woah, really?"

Day nods. "Yes!" He says with a confident smile. "It's gonna happen right here in this park."

Hoppy smiles. "Awesome! It's about time you guys got together."

Day giggles and goes to sit down on the bench. "I'm gonna invite him to hang out, and then profess my love for him." He says with a giggle. "I've been practicing what I'm gonna say all day."

Hoppy smiles. "Awesome!" She says, sitting next to him. "Do you need any help?"

Day nods. "All the help I can get." He says. "I wanna make sure it goes perfectly, so I've already asked Bobby to help as well."
He adjusts his ear. "She's gonna help make sure catnap actually shows up."

Hoppy smiles. "Wow. Wonder how that's going for her."

~meanwhile~

In another part of smiling valley, the red bear was brushing the purple cat's fur and making sure it was shiny and pretty.

'So why are you getting me all fancy?' Nap signs.

Bobby giggles. "I told you, it's a surprise for you and Dogday!"

Nap thinks for a bit.
'Well it's not my birthday...' he signs.

Bobby shakes her head. "Nope."

'And it's not his birthday either...'

"Uh-uh."

'And it's not best friends day, right?'

"No, silly, that's in june."

Nap looks confused. 'So what's the big occasion?'

Bobby finishes brushing him. "Can't tell ya. That'll spoil the surprise!"

Nap sighs. 'Well it better be good, I canceled my pre-dinner nap for this...'

Bobby laughs. "Don't worry, you won't be disappointed."

Catnap smiles slyly. 'Are you sure you can't tell me?'

Bobby shakes her head. "Nope. Day's the one who's gonna tell you."

Catnap giggles slowly.
'Tell me what?'

Bobby squeals, she couldn't handle it anymore.

"He's gonna tell you how much he loves you!"

Her eyes go wide and she immediately covers her mouth.

"Oops." She whispers.

Nap's eyes widened. 'Wait really?' He signs.

Bobby nervously nods. "Um... please don't tell anyone I told you..."

Catnap breaks out in a wide smile.
"Yesss!" He whispers, fist pumping. "I've been waiting forever!"
