-Violet "Via" Cady Potter died in a car accident at the young age of twelve. Her parents, Lavender and Alex, both lived and were devastated by their daughter's death. But, it was their fault.
They were the ones who drove on the wrong side of the road.
The person in the other car was Colby Brock. When it happened, he was out and at the car in an instant. He called 911 and was there when they pronounced Violet Potter dead.
And he blamed himself for it.
Violet, intrigued by the man who was seen crying as they announced her death time, followed him in her ghost form. She couldn't be hurt anymore, after all.
And she attached.
