Echoes of Love Lost

Once he held me close, so loving and kind,
In his arms, laughter, and tears entwined.
But now he's a stranger, distant and cold,
How could life's cruelty be so bold?

His love was a beacon, shining so bright,
Guiding me through the darkest of nights.
But now it's extinguished, lost in the haze,
Leaving me alone in this bewildering maze.

I thought our bond was unbreakable, strong,
But now I'm left to wonder where it all went wrong.
How could love fade, leaving emptiness behind?
In the wake of its absence, solace is hard to find.
