Waving my White Flag

Chapter 7

"Athena." mommy Lance called me. He was even catching his breath. Even though my eyes want to shut down I still manage to tilt my head towards his direction and arc my brow.

"Is there a fire?" I asked with sleepy eyes. He paused for a bit as he caught his breath. He even raised his palm open saying I should wait. I arc a brow and even sit down properly.

"Models please prepare for the last show." the host caught our attention. That's the signal I'm waiting for before standing up.

"Let's talk later on, mommy. I will just finish this runway." I said and he just nodded in response. He smiled so I smiled back.

I walk straight even though I'm wearing a black 7 inch pointed high heels. I lined up with the other model and stood as firmly as I could.

I take a deep breath and smile. This would be my last and first show here in the Philippines and I need to be the prettiest and fabulous woman tonight.  When it was my turn, I walked straight, chin up, chest and butt out with a bright smile. I saw how everyone smiled and gave me a big hand. It makes my heart melt. As I reached the edge, I made a poised and showed off my skin. It's my asset so why not? I saw Monteverde but I smile genuinely at him.

I made my signature turn with a victorious smile written on my face. Again, we lined up and I was in the center. It's worth the exhaustion I'm feeling right now.

I throw myself in my chair and close my eyes. Sumasakit na din ang mga paa ko kaya mabilis kong tinanggal ang heels na suot ko.

Some of my stuff was packing up what we used. I may not see them but I can feel them.

"Where is mommy Lance?" I asked without opening my eyes.

"I also don't know ms. Athena." Kathy replied. Saan na naman yun pumunta? Akala ko ba may sasabihin siya? Tsk! Hindi man lang ako sinama sa paghuhunting niya ng mga pogi. Tsk! Sinasarili na niya.

Tumayo naman ako para sana makapagpalit na ako ng damit so I can now rest in my bed. As I stood up the door opened.

"Hey." I called him and walked towards him but he moved aside. I stepped on my evening gown and lost my balance. I was about to hit the floor but someone entered the room and I know he wasn't expecting my clumsiness so we both fell on the floor. My eyes widened when I felt something in my boobs.

"Mommy." I shouted on top of my lungs. I rolled down on the floor.

Fuck! Why does it need to happen again? Noong una nahawakan niya yun when we were running away from zufu and this time.... Fuck! Tinulungan naman akong tumayo ni Lance. He stood up by himself. He cleared his throat but I just stood there firmly. I shouldn't act like a kid. I'm professional. Tinakpan ko din ang boobs ko kahit nakatago na ako sa likod ni mommy.

"Umm, I didn't mean that." he said. Why is it hard for him to say sorry?

"What are you doing here? Were packing and preparing to leave." I said and arc a brow.

"Yeah, I know but I will just discuss some business proposals." he said. Damn, he looks so professional with his attire and the way he talks. Nakita ko din ang paglunok niya at ang paggalaw ng adams apple niya. Damn, he looks hot.

"It's too late. Maybe we can discuss that some other time." I said. I can't also control myself from yawning.

"Don't worry. My manager and I already signed a contract. I just want to inform you. Have a good night. Ms. Athena Adler." napatingin naman ako kay mommy Lance.

"Umm, let's talk about this later." he said and smiled. He seems to be uneasy about it so I arc a brow. "See you around, Mr. Monteverde." he added. I frowned for what was happening but Monteverde just nodded in response.
