Undisturbed - A Poem About the Love of Her Life

Brows furrowed
Head resting on her arm
Eyes widened in concentration

Rolling her eyes to anyone who disrupts
Deep breaths as her chest rises and falls
Jaw slightly dropped as she stares

There is no stopping her
Throw away the remote
Tear apart the plug
Smash the screen

She will still find her way back
To the true love of her life

Of course, who am I to judge her?

So I silently position myself
Next to her undisturbed presence
Knowing she hadn't noticed my arrival
And start to watch the series of events
Play out on the television screen

My brows furrowed
Head in my arms
Eyes widened
Taking deep breaths
Jaw dropped
Ignoring anyone who disrupts
