Chapter 3

Lily's pov

I, Okita Murasaki have died, it's so unfair, why me of all people? All I wanted to do was buy some Otome games and play them but as I crossed the street, a truck came rushing at me. Now I'm in this dark place, "Why me! I'm still 24! I haven't even gotten a boyfriend yet!" but no matter how much I yelled no reply came. Then a white light appeared and came closer, "Why me!!" I shouted but my words eventually became a cry "Aaaaaaaahh!" What's happening? 

"It's a baby girl!" "How cute!" voices caused me to stop screaming and I opened my eyes. A plain woman, a burly guy carrying a beautiful child and a middle aged woman came into view. "What do you want to name her?" The guy asked the plain woman, have I been reborn? Are they my parents? Doesn't that mean my face will be average? Looking at that child's face, he's probably adopted. "How about Lily?" my new mom suggested "That's good she's like a little flower." Hmph, of course I'm cute, I smiled proudly at the compliment which made them all smile too.

Wait, Lily Lovell? The Lily Lovell! Aaaah! I've been reborn in an otome game as the heroine! I'm so happy right now, no wonder my parent's are plain looking, they're only background characters! I'll be queen one day! My parents are way too lucky, they gave birth to me, they must be so happy and proud right now. In the game Lily gets bullied but it's no problem, I'll just make a prince fall in love with me and have him protect me. Aah~ my princes wait for me, your princess coming!

Years later~

I'm now 16 years old but still no invitation to Magia academy! What happened? Lily is supposed to get invited and go to school at 16 years old. I sighed, Guess I'll have to do this myself. Grabbing a pen and some paper, I wrote a letter to the duke informing him of my existence. Mailing it I waited for a week. 

During this time, I lazed around, my mom's been really annoying thought. She keeps requesting me to cook and clean when my brother Rey's just there sitting. He knows how to do, so just let him do it. I'm gonna marry the prince and become queen anyway so I'll have servants to do this stuff. It'll be embarrassing if someone found out the queen used to do household chores. Why can't she understand that?

Well even if she gives me any chores I just push them to my brother, I didn't even know Lily had a brother in the game, well her family weren't even shown in the game. Rey can't say no to anything I say so I just let him handle everything. I mean I can't cook even in my previous life, I just eat out and then once in a while my mom comes over complains a bit then cleans my apartment for me. 

Mom also constantly compares me to my brother, what's so good about him other than his face and his servant skills? He can be as good at household chores as he wants but he'll never be able to give birth or marry a prince. After waiting for a week, no reply from the duke came back, he probably missed it, how can he misplaced the future queen's letter? I should fire him later.

I decided to generously forgive him and write another letter to him. I kept this up until 3 months later when a guard finally arrived for me. Good thing, he sent a guard now or I would've decided to execute his entire family when I become queen. But why did he ask for my brother? Rey can't use magic. 

When my dad asked us if we wanted to go I quickly replied with "Of course father!" it's a no duh, that I would want to go the Magia academy, if not how would the princes be able to glance upon my beauty? My brother though, said no, his reason was that he wanted to help our parents with the shop. Well, it's obvious why Rey wouldn't want to go. He can't use magic, what 'I want to help our parents', what a joke. He's just trying to get in my parent's favor so they treat him better. Whatever, an adopted kid can only lick my parent's boots while I get their unlimited love for free.
