I can only watch you from afar,
can only talk to you as a friend.
I know this may seem bizarre,
but I hope we're together in the end.
You've captured my heart, my soul, my mind.
You've stolen them all with your charm.
Sadly, my love for you must be declined,
although it does my heart physical harm.
Despite that on my left hand there sits a ring,
I still imagine what we could've been.
There's always the thought of having a fling,
I think of the thought with a grin.
Although we're very far apart,
and we can never be together,
you've been chiseled into my heart,
permanent always and forever.
