"Do you believe me, Cordelia?" Ace asked with a weird look in his eyes.

It was as if he was expecting me to tell him that I didn't believe him.

But...

"I believe you, Ace...You're not the type of person who would lie about these things..." I replied honestly.

He widened his eyes at my words.

Somehow...the thought of him not believing me irritated me.

"Does that mean...that you won't ever talk to Mattius again? All of us can protect you, Cordelia..." Ace blurted out.

"...Nope. I'm definitely talking to him again. Actually...I may or may not be planning to infiltrate the Marquis' estate tomorrow just so I can do the opposite of what you want me to," I replied nonchalantly.

I awkwardly chuckled.

Mattius is the son of the Marquis and he is now probably too scared to come back to my place again...so instead, I'm going to go to him.

I need to politely ask him a few...questions...

But instead of getting mad at me like I suspected him to, Ace just sighed at the confession of my plans.

"I already knew you would say that..." Ace murmured without a single hint of surprise.

"Of course...I'm extremely stubborn, you know?" I replied with a grin.

"...You know...I'm also pretty stubborn too..."

"Huh?"

"I'm not going to let you go."

"What? Why."

"You're not going."

"Yes, I am."

"No. You're going to stay here."

"No, I'm not!"

"..."

"Please, Ace. I promise I won't get hurt..."

"...only if I go too..."

"Huh?"

"..."

"You're going to go with me???"

Ace sighed in irritation just as if he considered me to be the dumbest person on the planet.

"...If you insist on going, I have no other choice. You would try to leave anyway even if I told you not to," Ace muttered.

"Ehehehe! You know me so well~ Let's go infiltrate the Marquis house tomorrow, okay?"

"...Call me when you need me," Ace said as he simply left my room without another word.

"B-Bye...I guess..." I said as Ace used his magic to close the door behind him.

I sighed and shuffled to a better position on my bed.

I actually had a one-on-one conversation with Ace!

This is an improvement...right?

"Deux~ I'm here again!" I shouted as I tapped my feet twice on the ground.

This time, for fun, I brought WAGYU FREAKING BEEF SANDWICHES.
