Scotland's POV

I jolted awake sweating. More nightmares. I sigh and take deep breaths calming myself down. I look around the room. Wales and North are on their shared bed sleeping peacefully. England lies completely still on his bed and if it weren't for his loud snoring I'd probably think he's dead. I stand up quietly and I can already tell this is going to become a routine of mine, might as well get dressed, as if I'm going to go back to sleep. I slip on a red and green tartan shirt and pull on some black jeans. I would of worn a kilt but it will be too cold for that. Speaking of the cold I put on my black hoodie that I basically live in at this point and I walk out the room as quietly as I can.

I tip toe down the hall and to the front door. I slip on my black nike trainers and grab the keys off the cabinet which has everyone's hats, gloves, scarfs and other outdoor clothing in it. I unlock the door, shoving the keys into my pocket as I walk out. I take in the fresh air walking towards the forest. The outdoors always makes me feel better, I wonder when I can travel back to Scotland and travel all across the highlands for a couple days again. My favourite part of my country always was the tall hills and large Lochs. I met my first ever real friend at a Loch actually, Loch Ness to be specific.

I reach the edge of the forest again staring at the tall trees touching the dark sky sparkling with stars. As there weren't any houses or street lights around the moon and stars shone even brighter and clearer. I look back to the small town and turn my head back and forth looking to see if anyone followed me, I'm not a big fan on country company. (Great alliteration, if I do say so myself) I don't see anyone around and listen closely only to be confirmed by the silence of the night. I tread through the forest looking at the different types of trees. There are pine, oak, elm, willow and my favourite silver birch. The deeper into the forest I go the more mystical and beautiful it gets. Fireflies sparkle with the stars and I hear the hooting of an owl and the squeaking of bats as they hunt for bugs to eat. I've always loved animals I don't have a favourite but I do love foxes, all types, black, red, brown, artic they are all outstanding and cunning and mysterious. Just as I pass a tall willow tree, I hear the sound echo through the forest and I smile running towards the sound.

I find myself back at the small lake. I look over the water. The moon and Stars reflections dance on the surface. I whistle the special tune again. The bubbles pop as they reach the surface of the water and out of the water comes my closest friend.
"Hey mate." I pat her head and she pushes her head into my hand to show friendship. "I've been having the nightmares again... yer sensed it didn't yer?" She sprays me with water as she blows out of her nose in agreement and I chuckle. She always seemed to forget to not get me wet when I'm wearing clothes but I don't care at all. I sit crossed legged on the floor next to the lake. I get knocked over slightly as she puts her head in my lap resting into me and I lay my head on top of hers.
"I remember doing this each night when I was kid... ha feels like ages ago but that's because it was," I look up at the stars still resting my head on top of hers. "I'm sorry I did nae get away from him faster girl, in fact, I can do even better, I'm sorry I ever went with him instead of yer I don't know what I was thinking but fer all the suffering it almost wasn't worth it." She let's out a soft whine and I decide to change the subject. "Do yer remember dad?"

She blows more air through her nose but since she's laying on me this time I get drizzled in water. "I wish I could see him again he just disappeared did nae he? I wonder what he's doing now if he's even alive that is..." I'm getting really tired. I haven't had a decent night sleep since I split apart from Britain and it's starting to catch up with me. I think she senses this cause she moves her head away so she can wrap her tail around me into a sort of bed. It may be wet because of her tail being in the lake but I'm so tired I could nae care less. As I look at the stars one last time I can feel myself begin to drift off. My eyes flutter until I give in and close them saying one last thing.

"Goodnight...Nessie..."
