John B and Summer always seemed to think the same and when they saw the waves at the beach that day, they knew they needed to go.

"It's a double overhead out there, guys" Pope said concerned

"And?" Summer asked him

"Those aren't surfable waves" Pope told her as John B grabbed their surfboards

"All waves are surfable, Pope" Summer smiled at John B and followed him into the sea

To be honest, Pope was right. Summer and John B were falling all the time, the waves weren't surfable but they were having a good time so, who cares?

"I missed this" Summer told John B

"I missed you" he said making her smile "to do this things I mean" he continued making her chuckle

"When I was told there was beach in New York I couldn't be happier. Then I took a subway for more than an hour and found out that there is no way you can surf in Coney Island" Summer told him making the boy laugh

"Yeah I noticed you were kind of rusty" John B picked on her

"Hey! You bitch!" Summer laughed at him

They just laughed staring at each other's eyes. Everyone could see what was going on between them, everyone but them.

"What the hell" John B mumbled looking at something behind Summer

She turned around as saw what he was looking at, a boat, a small open boat going to the middle of a hurricane.

"I think we should go" Summer turned to him who nodded

"Yeah, let's go"

"Won't your mom be worried for you not being home in a hurricane?" John B asked Summer as they got to The Château, she was going to stay there

"She won't even notice I'm gone. I'll just text Topper to let him know I'm okay" she said. After all, her brother was the only one who cared about her.

"Here, you aren't going to catch a cold on my watch" John B said as he handed her some clothes

"Thanks mom" she picked on him laughing

That day Summer slept in John B's clothes next to him in his bed. She had missed this, her friends, her days at the beach, surfing, everything. But Summer had to admit the thing she had missed the most was John B.

Summer woke up before John B, he was right next to her sleeping soundly. The girl stood up and found JJ sleeping on the sofa, she knew what she had to do.

Summer jumped on top of JJ waking and scaring him.

"You Kook, bitch!" JJ yelled when he saw the girl laughing on top of him

"Don't kill me" she said as JJ sat down hugging her by the waist

At that same time John B appeared, probably awoken by JJ yelling.

"Yo! JJ, you been outside?" The brunette asked

"Look what you did JJ, you woke him" Summer turned to her blond best friend as the two ignored what John B had said

"Actually you did when you woke up" John B told the girl

"Ohhhh, shoot!" JJ laughed at her

John B got out of the house with his two friends close behind. Summer analised the situation, the hurricane had hit pretty hard.

"That can't be good" Summer said

"Agatha did some work, huh?" JJ asked when he saw how the hurricane left the cut

"Yeah she did" John B sighed and moved to check on the boat

Summer was left with JJ who put an arm around her and whispered.

"When are you going to make a move?" he asked her

"What?" She turned to him confused

"He is head over heels for you. You should have seen him this months, everytime you called him he came straight to tell us" JJ told her

"He doesn't like me" Summer said right when John b walked back to them

"What you thinking?" JJ asked John B

"I'm thinking that storm surge pushed all the crabs out on the marsh maze. All those drum are going to chase the crab" John B said

"What about DCS? Wasn't that today?" JJ asked his friend

"What?" Summer asked shcoked. She had no idea DCS were after John B

"It's okay. They are not getting on the ferry" John B told them

Summer wanted to stay with them but sue got a text from Topper and knew she had to go back home.

"I have to go home. See you later!" Summer called out and headed to her house

"I'm home, mom!" Summer yelled as soon as she opened the door

No response. That was all she got.

"Are you out of your mind?" Topper said walking quickly down the stairs

"I love you too, brother" Summer said sarcastically

"You stayed at the cut during a hurricane? Do you know what could have happened to you?" The blond guy asked furious

"Yeah but I was safe. Look, one piece" she said walking pass him and going up the stairs to change her clothes

"I just want you to be safe, Sum" Topper stopped his sister

"I know Top. But don't worry about me, New York streets were way more dangerous than a little hurricane in the Outer Banks" Summer said making Topper laugh

"Okay" he smiled at her

"Thank you though, for caring about me" Summer smiled back at her brother

"You are my little sister" he said making summer roll her eyes

"Twelve minutes Topper, twelve" she groaned

"Still, little sister"
