"Yeji? What're you doing here?" I asked as I was gripping onto her waist. But seeing a blush slowly coating her cheeks I quickly realized our position.

Our noses were barely touching, her chest was pressed up against mine and her lips were centimeters away from my own. I could feel her cool breath linger on my lips and it was making me lose my mind.

Embarrassed was an understatement. Possibly mixed with desire— stop it.

I quietly gasped and quickly let go. I backed away with a blush growing on my own cheeks and mumbled an apology. She cleared her throat and placed a strand of hair behind her ear that was turning pink.

"I- Uh.. wanted to see if I can get a muffin to go. Didn't realize it was already closed," she nervously chuckled out. I smiled lightly, trying to ignore the way my heart was beating rather fast for my liking,

"I can always make you one back in my apartment but I think it'll be too late. I have somewhere to be," I said with an apologetic smile. She tilted her head in confusion,

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"I'm a dance teacher and I'm currently late so I have to —.."

"Can I come watch?"

"Alright! See you guys next week!" I yelled out while turning off the music and waving goodbye to my students. I tiredly leaned against the wall before sliding down and sitting on the floor.

"You were really good," Yeji complimented with an excited smile. I smiled shyly and shrugged,

"It was nothing," I said. She shook her head,

"That was not nothing. That was just— wow!" She said in amazement causing me to blush even more. She laughed while walking over to me and giving me a water bottle and a small towel. I smiled breathlessly and took the water bottle and towel from her,

"Thank you," I said and patted the spot beside me. She grinned and sat down beside me as I began to wipe off the sweat on my face and neck. We were quietly watching the students leave the dance studio one by one. It was a comfortable silence.

"What made you decide on dancing?" She suddenly asked. I brought me knees to my chest and shrugged,

"I don't know, guess I just wanted a new hobby," I said. She laughed lightly and nudged my side,

"Oh come on you have to have a better reason," she said. I shook my head and grinned,

"I guess I wanted to grow confidence in myself," I said. I looked over to her and smiled seeing a look of confusion settled on her soft features. I patted her head,

"That's a story to tell in another day," I teased while standing up. I looked down at her and extended my hand, "Ready to bake muffins with me?" I asked. She raised her eyebrows while taking my hand,

"Who said I'm baking with you?" She said with a playful grin. I rolled my eyes with a chuckle while pulling her up,

"Cheeky, you and I will get a long just fine Hwang," I said with a light laugh. She chuckled as she let me guide her outside the studio by her hand. I looked back over to her only to see her staring at our hands together with a smile.

I looked back forward and bit the bottom of my lip to repress a smile. Especially when she slowly intertwined our fingers together.

What are you doing to me Hwang Yeji?

"And now we wait," I said after placing the fresh batch of muffins in the oven. I leaned my back against the counter next to Yeji and smiled seeing as she was licking the batter off the spoon. She looked like an actual baby on the counter with the way she was kicking her legs back and forth and licking the spoon.
