After being kidnapped twice and a new experience. I've retired from that hobby and now focus on building.
When we got back to the institute. People didn't really say anything. Alec watched the footage but he was more upset that I was kidnapped to see that I could handle myself.
"Alec for the last time I'm fine" I groan. His been following me around for the past few days. Making sure I'm ok.
"I just want to make sure, listen I want to talk to you about you know" he trails off assuming I know what he going to say next.
"You're so impossible to read about what?" I ask
"Herondale" he says with one word. "You're in the shadow world now Bazile, we have to find out where you're from."
"How do you propose we do that?" I ask. "We can talk to the silent brothers" he suggests
"Oh no this is mission clary all over again" I say with an exaggerated groan. "Besides if I am a herondale what good does that do me?"
"Herondale run the clave" he says "but you know all about that" he says glaring at me slightly.
"Don't blame me for hacking your institute you're the one that left me with a phone and a room full with tech" I defend "how did you even charge the phone or get in" he questions
"I summoned my inner stark and did a thing ok and for that other question I broke a lamp and used it's part and made a makeshift charger" I answer.
"Listen there only like 3 herondales left, they took a hit during the uprising." He explains "some of the family members bodies were never found, they were pronounced dead but if we go to idris and maybe the inquisitor will listen to our theory" he says
"That's stupid. We have to be 100% ready for that allegation" I refuse
"Then do you have a better idea?" He says sarcastically.
"Yeah why don't I just hack into the system get there files cross reference them with mine and see if there's a match" I say in a duh tone
"Well if you can get it the institutes firewall there were updated because of you" he says in a cocky tone
"It's good thing I never left then" I say pulling out my phone. "There we go"
His phone beeps and the files are on his screen.
He looks a little shocked but nods his head.
"Great you tell me the result. This stays between you and me okay?" He says sternly. "Besides dexter" he says
"Besides dexter" I say back.
"Well I have a mission something about the jade wolf being attacked by a forsaken." He says "oh and memories these" he hands me a book with runes
