Fengguang's heart felt as though it had been dredged through the mud and suddenly began to doubt her own womanly charm. Not having a Mary Sue halo was really troublesome. Seducing a second male lead was taking up so much effort!

Bai Zhe gently smiled slightly, "Flower is a term that can only describe a 16 year old girl."

Fengguang suddenly grabbed his arm to prevent him from leaving the car and opened the door before she shouted aloud to catch the group of men's attention. "HEY! I'M RIGHT HERE AND NEXT TO ME IS MY BOYFRIEND. COME KIDNAP US!!!"

"Brothers, she's in that car! She even has a helper!" One of them shouted to the others in the vicinity and they started heading closer towards the car.

Fengguang giddily glanced at Bai Zhe. "Now, will you still do nothing?"

Bai Zhe straightened his sleeve and then closed the door Fengguang had opened. Afterwards, the car began to move and the scenery outside passed in a blur.

Fengguang laughed aloud in her seat as she watched the crowd get left behind. "Going against this miss, you're all still too young! Hahaha..."

Her laughter was piercing to hear. The veins in Bai Zhe's forehead were about to burst but because of his good upbringing, he kept his polite mannerism. "Miss, please remain quiet."

"If I kept quiet, how would I be able to express my happiness? Hehehe, didn't you say you wouldn't care about me? In the end, you still drove the car and helped me getaway."

The car came to an abrupt stop and her body fell forward, her head almost hitting against the glass. She immediately turned to Bai Zhe, "Hey, you!"

Bai Zhe didn't say a word and got out of the car. He walked to the passenger side and opened the car door. Fengguang was dumbfounded as he bent downwards and unbuckled her seat belt before grabbing her wrist and pulled her out.

"You're hurting me, what are you doing?!" Fengguang tried to get him to let go of her hand and he released his grip.

Under his glasses, Bai Zhe had a warm and gentle gaze but the person who was being stared at, did not feel any of that warmth and kindness.

"I believe that the people chasing you won't be able to find you here. So please, leave my car now, miss."

This was in the outskirts of the city with forests everywhere. The people who were chasing her definitely wouldn't be able to find her here but neither would anyone else!

A night breeze started to pass through the forest, stirring up the trees. Fengguang quivered, "Y-y-you... You're going to leave me behind in such a haunted place?"

"Haunted describes a place with ghosts. According to what I know, no one has ever died here so there have never been any reports of ghosts here."

Bastard! He didn't need to be so detailed about it when it's in the middle of the night like this! Even though Fengguang had traveled through different kinds of worlds, she had only traveled through decorous, romantic types of worlds. She had never gone into a horror, scary type of setting before! And so... she had retained her fear of otherworldly beings and beliefs of superstitious traditions.

Plainly put, she was afraid of ghosts.

Stutteringly, she muttered, "Say, say wasn't there a lot of city folk who moved into the outskirts? Isn't housing and land in the countryside very welcome nowadays?"

"If that's the case..."

Fengguang looked at him hopefully.

Bai Zhe gently smiled. "Then there's more reason for me to leave first."

Fengguang felt herself turn to stone.
