"Bai Zhe, why aren't you saying anything?" Fengguang asked but quickly continued with a smile, "It's fine. Not saying anything is okay too."

She cupped his face with both hands and slightly bent down and left a light kiss on his lips.

Bai Zhe's expression remained frozen.

After another quick kiss, she laughed and stood up straight. "I'm always the one taking initiative. As a woman, I'm troubled by this."

"Don't do anything and you won't be troubled," Bai Zhe coldly said and was about to stand up when someone shouted from above, "Be careful!"

Fengguang closed her eyes and tightly hugged him who was still kneeling down in front of her. His head was safely protected inside her arms. She had done this by instinct and then right beside them, a flower vase viciously landed on the ground, shattering into many pieces.

On the fourth floor of the building beside them, a man stuck his head out the window.

"I'm sorry, did it hit you?!"

Fengguang released Bai Zhe and looked upwards in anger. "Uncle, if you're going to grow flowers, can you be more careful? Do you know who I am? If you had harmed even a single strand of my hair, you wouldn't be able to afford compensation!"

"I'm very sorry, I didn't notice and it fell off." The person upstairs kept apologizing.

"You! ...Hey, don't pull me away!" Fengguang still planned to argue with the neglectful man but Bai Zhe pulled her by her hand and kept walking. When she finally noticed the crowd that had gathered, she understood why he was trying to leave.

However, as they were walking, he didn't say a word and she grew anxious at the silence.

"Hey Bai Zhe, why aren't you saying anything? Did you get scared? You don't have to be afraid. I'm here and I'll protect you well..." As she finished saying this, she was suddenly pushed into an alleyway and pressed against a cold wall. She couldn't help but flinch.

She looked up and Bai Zhe's hand was pressing against the wall, encasing her in his embrace... Wait for a second, why was this scene so familiar? Wasn't this exactly the same as what happened yesterday night in the alleyway with the male and female lead?

Fengguang appeared to be a bit shocked and meekly tried to escape under his arm but he grabbed her wrist with his other hand, not allowing her to move.

At this moment, his expression was very frightening.

"Bai, Bai Zhe, what's wrong?" Even though Fengguang was brave when it came to teasing and flirting with him for her mission, but when it came to serious moments like these, she grew frantic. In the past, when the second male lead blackened, the mission became a whole other level of difficulty.

Her mission wasn't as simple as making the target fall in love with her, the mission was to make the target feel happiness.

"For your stupid love game," Bai Zhe's eyes darkened and his face inched closer towards her. "Do you really need to go as far as risking your life?"

"What are you talking about? I already said I wanted to be with you and it's not because of some stupid game I'm playing." Her words were filled with a bit of anger. Even if she was doing a mission, she invested real emotions every time.

Bai Zhe seemed as though he had heard a joke and laughed. "You like me? Miss Xia's fiance is the renowned Song Mo. I'm just a secretary. How can I be worth anything in your eyes?"

"Do you always evaluate other people by such shallow standards?"

He froze. "What else is there?"

"Fine, let's go according to how you differentiate others by value. However, worth and value are defined differently by others. In my eyes, you are a priceless existence so how dare you say that you don't qualify?"

When she finished her piece, she was fuming with anger. People who deprecated themselves annoyed her the most. She knew what Bai Zhe had experienced in his childhood and how he had kept his inferiority complex hidden inside him. However, from the perspective of someone who liked him, his feelings of inferiority meant nothing to her.
